As she kept running, she soon realized the path ahead disappeared into a vast, pitch–black forest.
Steeling herself, she decided to make her way into the depths of the mountains.
The pathways within the mountain were a complex maze. She thought she could make good use of the intricate terrain to shake off her pursuers.
However, her plan was quickly thwarted.
Grimo came running down the stairs after Violet and spotted her running for her life in the distance.. glint of determination flashed in his eyes as he raised his gun, aiming directly at the running woman. specifically targeting her legs.
“Ah!” A bullet pierced through both her legs, sending her collapsing to the ground in pain. Apparently, Grimo, the arms tycoon was an exceptionally skilled marksman.
“Traitor, where do you think you’re going?” Adelar and his gang quickly surrounded Violet.
