you really shouldn’t say that. Josiah and I are friends. It’s only natural for us to help each other. Besides, seeing him pick himself up brings me great joy.”
“You truly have a kind heart,” Felix couldn’t help but warmly compliment. “No matter what, you’ve been gracious to our Josiah. As such, you’re always welcome to visit the Blume residence.”
Benedict also smiled. “Ms. Thornton, if you ever need help in the future, feel free to approach the Blume family. We will certainly do our utmost to assist you.”

“Are you close with Josiah?” Sebastian asked abruptly and coldly.
Madelyn was somewhat taken aback.

“Why are you so selflessly helping him? Do you care about him that much?” Sebastian asked again, a hint of displeasure evident in his tone.
Madelyn was initially feeling upset, clueless about what was going on with Sebastian. However, upon hearing that, she couldn’t help but laugh. “Sebastian, are you jealous?”
Sebastian frowned.
Madelyn quickly clarified, “No, Sebastian, you mustn’t overthink this. I just think that Josiah is a pretty decent guy, and he has helped me out quite a few times before. I merely aided him because I didn’t want to see someone with his abilities wallow in degeneration. Besides, if he could really pull himself together, he’s bound to do well in the military with his abilities in the future. By then, we would have established a connection, which isn’t a bad thing, isn’t it?”
After patiently explaining everything, Madelyn gazed at Sebastian, her eyes filled with anticipation. She was afraid he might get angry again.
Her eyes were clear and luminous as if they were home to a fairy.
Seeing her in such an innocent and harmless state, Sebastian could not stay angry.
In the end, he warned resignedly, “You already have Lockhart Group. There’s no need for you to build sq many connections. In the future, it’s best you keep your distance when dealing with other men, otherwise…”
