In her mind, she couldn’t help but think how much of a killjoy Josiah was. Could he not bear to see others being affectionate? Why did he have to interrupt them? He’s really asking for a beating!
However, Josiah did not show a hint of remorse. Instead, he wore a smug grin. “Enough already, Tristan. You should know when to stop. You’ve already confessed successfully. What more could you possibly want? Let’s save the matter of kissing for when you return from the military. Haha! It’ll keep you on tenterhooks.”
“F*ck!” Tristan was on the verge of tears, but he swallowed his sorrow and said, “How about we have a fight? I’ve been annoyed with you for a while now, and I really want to beat you up.”
“Oh? You dare to challenge me?” Josiah laughed heartily. “Sure! Let’s fight! Today, I’ll show you who’s the boss!
With a grunt, Tristan retorted, “Enough talk! Bring it on!”
Following that, the two grown men began to fight harmlessly, much like children.
Madelyn was standing off to the side, speechless yet amused. How could these two, given their age, behave like such children?
Following that, Madelyn couldn’t be bothered to deal with those two childish men anymore. She walked straight over to Jillian’s side.

“Madelyn, please stop…” Jillian was extremely embarrassed, her face still flushed with shyness.

“Okay,” Jillian nodded slightly, and the two of them headed back first.
Tristan and Josiah spent some time fighting around before they eventually returned to the private room.
That night, everyone seemed to have lost themselves in the revelry. They were drinking and playing games, which carried on till the wee hours of the morning.
By the time Madelyn arrived home, it was already past midnight, nearing one in the morning.
Sebastian was sitting on the couch. He hadn’t fallen asleep yet.

“I won’t!” Madelyn was utterly resolute as she declared, “Don’t you trust me? I truly, deeply love you. As long as you don’t push me away, I won’t leave you.”
As she spoke, Madelyn playfully snuggled further into his embrace once again.
Upon hearing her words, Sebastian found it amusing and endearing. His heart swelled with even more affection for her.
He then held Madelyn close, gently placing a soft kiss on her forehead. He reassured her, saying, “Don’t worry. I love you, too. I won’t ever leave you.”
“Really?” Madelyn seemed to still harbor some disbelief.
Sebastian couldn’t help but chuckle, his fingers lightly pinching her chubby little face. “Really”
“All right, shall we make a pinky promise?”
As she spoke, Madelyn suddenly extended her pinky, aiming to make a pinky promise.
Sebastian’s smile Intensified, and he found Madelyn irresistibly adorable. Consequently, he reached out. entwining his finger with her petite, rosy one.
Madelyn then said, “A pinky promise can’t be overturned.”
