Madelyn and Jillian were rather disgruntled, as they simply couldn’t fathom what Janessa was trying to achieve.
“Oh, right… You two haven’t formally met yet, have you?” Janessa suddenly burst into laughter. “What a shame. Kieran was supposed to be your son–in–law.”
Upon hearing those words, Derek immediately furrowed his brows in confusion. “Son–in–law?”
As if struck by a sudden thought, Derek swiftly moved to protect Madelyn. “Miss, this is a public place. I hope you’ll mind your words! My daughter has never known this man, and she’s a married woman. Don’t slander her without reason!”
