“So soon?” Upon hearing the news, Madelyn was rather surprised. “I thought it would take a few more days to reach that point. Unexpectedly, things are worse than I anticipated.”
“Yes. Cyrus nodded.
Then, he added. “In truth, I heard a bit of insider news as well, Ms. Thornton. Many shareholders of Sherritt Group have started selling their stocks to protect their interests. That aside, almost three million shares have been sold by the minor shareholders. Do you think we should seize this opportunity to press our advantage?”
He voiced his suggestion.
At his proposal, admiration shone undisguised in Madelyn’s eyes. “Cyrus, how did you know I planned to seize the opportunity and press our advantage? You understand me so well!”
Upon hearing that, Cyrus gave a slight smile.
“I wouldn’t dare claim that. I’ve just been with you for a while now, so I’ve gained some understanding of your way of handling things, Ms. Thornton.”
“Not bad,” Madelyn commended, nodding fervently in approval.
