Even if he recovers from his illness, his physique will definitely not be as robust as before”
As she spoke. Scarlet suddenly grew angry. “I really don’t understand what has gotten into Janessa. Even if she despised my daughter and me, she shouldn’t have harmed her own biological father! Just as expected of a child without a mother. Without anyone to guide her, she’s disregarding even her own family”
After venting all her resentment on Janessa, Scarlet finally felt a great deal of relief.
Upon hearing this, Caleb was outraged. “Thankfully, the company is back in our hands now. Otherwise, who knows what else Janessa could have done?”
“Enough, what’s the use of talking about all this now?”
Listening to these words, Cheryl didn’t fan the flames further, sighing instead. “I just hope Father gets better soon. All that matters is that he’s healthy.”
During this period. Cheryl had matured significantly due to work.
The youthful aura about her gradually faded, evolving into a more mature, feminine presence. Finally she was no longer as flustered as before when faced with challenges.
At that moment, someone unexpectedly walked in.
Upon hearing footsteps, the three of them turned around and realized that it was none other than Rupert’s doctor. Without any hesitation, they respectfully cleared a space for the doctor.
“Excuse me, which one of you is related to the patient?” the doctor asked, looking at the three of them.
Scarlet swiftly stood up. “Doctor, I’m the patient’s wife, and these two are my children.”
Upon hearing the words, the doctor nodded. “Since you both are the patient’s closest kin. I’ll speak candidly. Now, I have both good news and bad news to share with you.”
His tone was slightly grave, indicating that he was about to discuss something of great importance.

The good news is, we thoroughly examined the patient this morning. In reality, the patient doesn’t have an incurable disease.
