“Did you allow her to be bailed out?” Madelyn asked Cyrus as she looked at him.
Cyrus replied, “Not yet. After hearing the news, I promptly asked the director to delay the proceedings.”
“Not bad at all.” Madelyn nodded, then stood up. “Let’s go. We should personally pay a visit to the police
station.”
“Understood.”

The officer next to him whispered, “Chief Shepherd, it’s a woman named Janessa Sherritt. She’s the one about to be released on bail.”
“I see. So, it’s her.” Lucas nodded knowingly, then turned his gaze to Madelyn. “Indeed, there was a woman named Janessa.”
“Indeed, she’s the one I’m looking for,” Madelyn asserted. Then, she subtly glanced at Lucas. “This matte. is a bit complicated. I wonder if you have some time to chat with me in private?”
