After parting ways with Madelyn, Sebastian, as agreed, went to have a drink with Wesley.

Almost every once in a while, they would gather together, sipping on some drinks and engaging in casual conversations.
That day, the two of them visited the restaurant they usually frequented, settling down in their familiar
spot.
Given that they were both super VIPs of this establishment, they were never required to order. Each time they came, the server would automatically bring their usual drinks.
After the drinks were served, Sebastian immediately opened it and took a hearty swig straight away.
Wesley was taken aback by his demeanor and quickly intervened, saying, “Sebastian, what are you doing? Drinking is fine, but can’t we take it slow? I still have a lot to talk to you about. If you get drunk all at once, we won’t be able to talk.”
Though he said so, Wesley had already sensed something off about Sebastian.
Upon hearing those words, Sebastian maintained his silence, yet the tension surrounding him noticeably eased.
Seeing that he had calmed down a bit, Wesley handed back the drink to him.
Following that, Wesley casually chatted about day–to–day matters. As he continued, he eventually lost interest in talking.
Throughout the entire event, Sebastian lowered his head, not uttering a single word. He simply drank his alcohol, never once pausing.
Seeing him in this state, Wesley knew without a doubt what the reason was.
In this world, no one else could dampen Sebastian’s spirits except for Madelyn.
Eventually, Wesley had no interest in performing a one–man show anymore.
Setting down his glass, he asked earnestly, “You’re looking rather downcast. Did she upset you again?”
Sebastian remained silent, his face devoid of any expression.
Wesley couldn’t help but sigh. “Ah, I had a hunch it was about her. So, what has Madelyn done this time? Did she cheat on you with another man?”

Sebastian’s expression turned even darker.
It is because of her! Wesley also felt a sense of injustice for Sebastian in his heart.

Sebastian took another swig of his drink. No matter how much he drank, however, his complexion remained unchanged, showing no signs of inebriation.
Wesley couldn’t help but feel terrified. Just how much can he drink?
“That’s enough.”
Later on, Wesley couldn’t bear to watch any longer, so he stood up.
“Don’t obsess over Madelyn. Come on, let’s go have some fun tonight!”
Sebastian looked at him, puzzled, only to see him grinning mischievously.
Upon reaching Lockhart Villa, Madelyn glanced at the wall clock and felt a pang of disappointment. He probably won’t be coming back tonight.
She then went upstairs to take a bath.
She slipped into the bathtub, the surface of the water brimming with bubbles.
Bored, Madelyn picked up a handful of bubbles and blew them away with a puff. She felt an inexplicable emptiness in her heart.
After taking a bath, she wrapped herself in a towel and settled down on the couch.
The memory of Sebastian blow–drying her glossy black hair in this very place flooded back, intensifying her overwhelming sense of disappointment.
