“What on earth happened?”
Sebastian asked with a grim face.
“Nothing. I just accidentally bumped into something.”
Madelyn smiled and tried to pull her sleeve down to hide the injury.
“Don’t move.” Sebastian insisted.
The bruise was glaringly obvious, a large swollen area.
If it was just a bump, it wouldn’t look like this.
He scoffed. “This injury clearly looks like someone hit you. How could it just be a bump?”

“L.” Madelyn faltered, feeling guilty but still insisted cheerfully, “I wasn’t hit, really. It’s just a bump, I swear!”
Sebastian sighed, realizing she wouldn’t tell him the truth no matter how much he asked.
Since she didn’t want to say, there was no point in pressing further.
He turned off the stove, gently took her hand, and led her to the couch.
Then he went to get the first–aid kit and carefully applied medicine to her injury.
Seeing Sebastian’s caring actions, Madelyn was pleased inwardly.
Despite appearing aloof, Sebastian was still concerned about her.
This thought made Madelyn feel a warm glow of joy.
As she was smiling despite being hurt, Sebastian frowned. “How can you still smile?”
“Why wouldn’t I smile? Even though I’m injured, I have you,” Madelyn replied playfully.
Sebastian snorted, “You’re fearless until it’s too late.”
He couldn’t help but warn her, “Be more careful in the future. What if you get seriously injured one day?”
Madelyn tilted her head playfully. “That won’t happen.”
She added, “And besides, you’ll save me, right?”
Sebastian snorted again. Seeing she hadn’t learned her lesson, he deliberately applied more pressure while treating her wound.
“Ow! Sebastian, be gentle! It hurts,” Madelyn cried out.

Sebastian closed the first–aid kit and said calmly. “It doesn’t matter. One dish is enough.”
He then put away the first–aid kit.
Then he walked over to the dining table, patiently savoring his meal.
Madelyn followed him, watching him eat bite after bite. She couldn’t help but ask, “I haven’t tasted it yet. Is it good?”
Sebastian replied blandly, “It’s edible.”
What? Just edible?
Madelyn thought that she needed to improve her cooking skills.
Seeing her reaction, Sebastian couldn’t help but smile a little.
In truth, it was quite good.
After finishing the meal, Sebastian urged, “It’s late. You should go to bed.”
Madelyn obediently nodded and went upstairs.
This is good. As long as there are no misunderstandings between us, I can gradually get closer to him and earn his trust. Over time, any barriers between us will naturally dissolve.
With these thoughts, Madelyn lay down in bed and had a good night’s sleep.
The next day, Madelyn went to university as usual.
Upon arriving, she didn’t go to her classroom but went straight to find Yadiel.
