Logan and Scott both flinched when they heard my words. Without a word, they slammed the door behind them and stormed off%
Once they were gone, I packed my bags and went to the school dormitory.%
This place–yeah, it’s a three–story villa, but honestly? It wasn’t somewhere I wanted to stick around. If it weren’t for my revenge mission, I wouldn’t have lasted a minute longer in that house.”
It may look all shiny outside, but it was nothing more than a den of wolves.
Before I left, though, I installed hidden cameras in a few well–concealed corners of the villa.
Since the body swap didn’t work, I knew Logan and Scott wouldn’t just give up–they’d find another way to plot against me. They weren’t going to back down that easily.
Knowing your enemy is half the battle. And after coming back to life, I wasn’t about to fall for their tricks again.
When I handed the little pig over to the pig farm owner, I slipped him a thick red envelope and asked him to install four cameras in the barn to capture every detail. I wanted to know everything.
Once I settled into my dorm room, I immediately pulled up the footage on my phone, excited to see what had gone down. What I saw shocked me./
The farm owner didn’t just do what I asked–he went above and beyond. He’d fed the little pig extra doses of hormones.% No wonder he’d patted his chest before I left and promised me the pig would turn into a mother. The guy’s efficiency was insane.
By the time Logan and Scott arrived at the farm, the little pig was lying on the ground, twitching and barely moving. Its tiny legs were shaking, its body covered in bruises, and patches of fur had been torn out.”
Logan, clearly devastated, kicked the gate open without hesitation. He didn’t even care about the manure or the filth covering the little pig and immediately picked it up.
Scott, though, was beyond pissed. His fists were clenched, his eyes burning with fury. “That bitch, Alexa… I’m going to make her pay. I’ll kill her right now!”
He grabbed a stick, ready to tear through anything in his path.
Logan quickly grabbed him, his voice low and urgent. “Why the rush? Jessica’s been through this too. Do you think I’m not hurting? But if you kill or hurt Alexa, who’s gonna take Jessica’s place?”
“Let her die? That’s too easy on her. There’s too much at stake here–too many people around. We need to get back and put Alexa’s necklace on Jessica, and she’ll be the one who’s suffered. Then we can make her pay for everything.”
When I heard that, I couldn’t help but shudder.”
I hadn’t expected Logan, who usually kept his cool, to say something so cold and vicious. Maybe this was the real him./ Either way, I was relieved I’d seen this coming.
After Logan and Scott rushed home with the little pig, Scott immediately snatched my old necklace and eagerly draped it around the pig’s neck.
But to his surprise, the pig didn’t react.
Still in disbelief, Logan began searching for the villa for any sign of me. Then it hit him–I was gone.
Desperate to figure out what happened, Scott pulled out his phone and dialed my number.
When the call went through, he hesitated before asking, “Jessica, is that you?“W
I couldn’t help but laugh bitterly. “Scott, have you lost your mind? Isn’t Jessica in the hospital? What the hell are you doing looking for me?“%
It took him a second, but he finally realized something was off.”
He tried to sound calm but was still clearly rattled. “Alexa, didn’t you wear the necklace I gave you?”
I scoffed, rolling my eyes. “The necklace? That expensive thing you gave me? I left it on the vanity at the Montgomery estate. I can’t possibly accept something that extravagant.”
Before he could say anything else, I hung up the phone and blocked his number.
I pulled up the surveillance footage on my phone, watching Scott angrily pound the wall. Meanwhile, Logan, quietly observing everything, gave a strange, almost–knowing smile.
“Don’t worry, my dearest sister, I have plenty of ways to deal with you.“%
