I couldn’t help but agree with the old man’s words.%
So, I hired a private investigator to dig into Logan’s past, and what I uncovered was even darker than I expected.% Logan’s mom was my father’s first love. She got pregnant with his child before they were married, but my dad had no idea. It wasn’t until after he married my mom that the truth came out. His mom sent him off to the Montgomerys to give Logan a better shot at life. And the whole mess just unraveled from there.%
But what really hit me was the bitterness Logan harbored towards my mom. He blamed her for the collapse of his mother’s and my dad’s relationship. Instead of accepting things, he spent years trying to tear my parents‘ marriage apart. The problem was that my parents were constantly away from work, so their attempts were basically pointless.%
But eventually, he set his sights on me. After his mom remarried and got pregnant again, she ended up in the same hospital as my mom, and that’s when it got even worse.%
In a cruel twist of fate, Logan used his half–sister, Jessica, to take my place.%
While I was sent to an orphanage and endured years of hardship, Logan and Jessica lived it up.%

Without warning, Gary trembled with fury and slapped Logan across the face. “You ungrateful bastard! I raised you like rmy own son for your mother’s sake, and you repay me by scheming against your sister?“%
With that, he threw the paternity test right at Logan’s chest and shouted, “From now on, you’re no longer my son. Get the hell out of here!“%

Logan’s face went pale as he opened the paternity test, eyes wide with disbelief. The results were clear. He wasn’t my father’s son, not by blood.”
Logan’s mother had been unable to care for him, so she entrusted him to her old lover–my father.
