Chapter 6
Cynthia had already realized that Braiden’s complex identity was not easy to deal with to get to where he is today.
She didn’t want to put her good friend in a difficult position, and just as she was about to speak, Giovanna readily agreed.
“Okay, no problem.”
Cynthia hadn’t even had time to react before Giovanna hung up the phone.
Cynthia rubbed her forehead, she must have been hearing things.
The next day, when Cynthia got up to go to the company, she received a message from Giovanna, which read, “All set, my brother will be going to Eagle’s Nest Golf Course at one o’clock in the afternoon, don’t forget to come over.”
Cynthia happily blew a kiss.
Back at the company, Cynthia told Kendall that she was going to Eagle’s Nest Golf Course in the afternoon.
Kendall looked puzzled.
Cynthia smiled mysteriously and said, “Mr. Ferguson agreed to meet with us.
Kendall was excited, “So you’re saying we have a chance?”
“Don’t get too excited yet, this time Mr. Ferguson is looking for five special effects companies. It seems like a lot, but it doesn’t necessarily mean we will be one of them. However, I am confident that we will win the project from him.”
Kendall looked at her with a determined look, she seemed unaffected by the wedding.
Exactly, women don’t necessarily need love, women who are serious about their careers are the most beautiful.
In the afternoon, Cynthia changed into a sportswear outfit, wearing a baseball cap on her head. She already had a good figure, and this outfit further highlighted her attractive body.
The assistant standing next to her couldn’t help but exclaim, Life is just not fair.”
Upon arriving at Eagle’s Nest Golf Course, Cynthia and her assistant encountered a problem.
Because Eagle’s Nest Golf Course requires membership to enter, members are required to spend ten million here annually.
The first checkpoint was blocked.
She had already anticipated that Braiden wouldn’t see her so easily.
Cynthia had already seen Braiden’s car parked over there on the way, proving that he had arrived.
No matter what, we couldn’t miss this opportunity, we had to sweet–talk the security guard at the door.
Someone called out to her.
“Cynthia?”
Cynthia heard a familiar voice, and her face immediately turned cold.
Even if she didn’t want to see it, she noticed Zaiden walking over with Belinda and another woman.
Cynthia’s assistant instinctively came to Cynthia’s side.
“Cynthia, did you know Zaiden was coming to the golf course today before you came looking for him?”
Cynthia and Zaiden locked eyes, he immediately looked away as if he hadn’t seen her.
Cynthia made a slight cold snort from her nose, even telling Belinda about their impending divorce. It seems like they are really getting close to a good thing!

The security guard behind said, “Ms. Shepherd, why didn’t you mention that you know Mr. Gwinnett earlier? Mr. Gwinnett is a long–time member here. As long as you mention his name, we can let you in.”
Belinda came up to her and took her hand.
“Cynthia, since we’ve run into each other, let’s go in together.”
Cynthia calmly pushed away her hand. Didn’t you just have a miscariage…
“Cynthia!”
Afraid that she might reveal Belinda’s privacy, Zaiden quickly reprimanded her.
Cynthia’s face turned cold, always protecting the intruders.
Belinda looked like a good person and said, “Zaiden, don’t be so harsh on Cynthia. Cynthia, I came here today for my best friend. She needs to go in and see someone.”
Cynthia met the woman who came with them, Cindy Kidd, who also worked in special effects and seemed to be looking for Braiden.
Those who can be members at a place like Eagle’s Nest Golf Course are not just wealthy, Cindy couldn’t get in, so she thought of Belinda, and Belinda brought out Zaiden.
Zaiden really doted on Belinda, and even the people around Belinda spared no effort to help.
Obviously, it was not the case for Cynthia.
A few people walked out from inside at this time.“Mr. Ferguson is really straightforward, he agreed directly with us. Oh, isn’t this Ms. Shepherd? Are you also here to see Mr. Ferguson? Come in quickly, I heard there is only one spot left.”
Last time in the meeting room, everyone saw Cynthia go to find Braiden.
Although the two were famous arch–enemies, in the business world, there are never permanent friends or enemies, only permanent interests.
It was not surprising that Cynthia would be here.
“Let’s go in.”
Zaiden finally said the first words.
“But Cynthia…”
Belinda was so concerned about Cynthia as if she cared about her so much.
“Belinda, let’s go inside quickly.”
Cindy was a little worried, afraid that this spot would be taken by Cynthia
“Cynthia, come in with us.”
“No need, you guys go in first.”
Belinda made a reluctant expression and said, “Well, let’s go in first and wait for you inside.”
Zaiden didn’t even look at Cynthia from start to finish, as if even if Cynthia begged him, he wouldn’t help.
The assistant asked anxiously, “Ms. Shepherd, what should we do?”
Cynthia had a headache.
Seeing the opportunity right in front of me, I couldn’t just let it slip away.
With a determined look, Cynthia said to the security guard, “Can I sign up for a membership right now?”

The security guard was stunned by her actions and it took him a while to say a word, “Okay.”
Cynthia swiped the card Zaiden gave her after they got married. Originally, she didn’t want to use it. Zaiden could bring his mistress and her friends to such places in a high–profile manner. They were still married and had joint property, so why
couldn’t she use it?
When I saw Braiden, he had already been chatting with Belinda’s best friend for quite a while.
Braiden saw Cynthia and glanced at the time, Ms. Shepherd, we agreed to meet at one o’clock in the afternoon, and it is already one fifteen, you are late.”
He was also dressed in casual clothing, wearing a sun hat, with both hands resting on the golf club, and he had a firm grasp on
his demeanor.
Cynthia glanced at Belinda’s friend and remained calm, saying, “It’s my fault for being late, but as long as you haven’t signed the contract yet, I still have a chance.”
I have never worked with people who are not punctual.”

The assistant looked at Cynthia nervously.
The atmosphere suddenly became heavy, and after a while, Cynthia suddenly laughed.
“Mr. Ferguson, how about this? Since we are meeting at the golf course, why don’t we have a match, and if you win, you work with me, how about that?”
Cindy nervously looked at Braiden.
Braiden also laughed, Ms. Shepherd, I really admire your spirit. Being late proves that you are already out of the game. I had a great chat with Cindy and I am about to sign a contract with her.”
“Cindy, did you bring the contract?”
Cindy quickly took out the contract and showed it to Braiden when she heard.
Braiden glanced at it and casually signed his name on it.
The assistant grabbed Cynthia’s clothes and anxiously asked her what to do.
Cindy saw that the contract had been signed and immediately gratefully reached out her hand.
“Mr. Ferguson, thank you very much. I hope we have a pleasant cooperation.”
Braiden reached out his hand, and simply shook hers before letting go.”
“Mr. Ferguson, I won’t bother you anymore. I have something else to do, so I’ll leave now.”
Before leaving, Cindy took a last look at Cynthia.
Braiden nodded at Cindy and then picked up his golf club, ready to continue playing golf.
Cynthia came up to him, one hand holding his hand, the other resting on his shoulder.
