Chapter 14
Luna Lovette’s POV
“Can you not make them aware of the marriage being a contract for now?” Alpha Kodak asked with a pleading gaze.
I wanted to refuse outrightly, but my curiosity drove me to make a bargain, as I felt that he was trying to do something to make his parents happy.
Even if it was an accident, it was a piece of joyful news because a life was going to be birthed. “Only if you answer my question truthfully.”
“Ask anything. I will tell you,” he said seriously, and my heart warmed as I asked him
“How did you reward Zeeva after breaking up with her?”
His expression changed, and 1 knew there was more. If it were that simple, then it would not have affected him so much, right?
Well, Alpha Kodak was not willing to answer my question. “I suggest that we get to know each other more before getting into each other’s private
I forced a smile. That was a nice way of refusing to answer my question, and I could not keep it in.
You won’t answer my question, so find the most respectable way to sell your parents about the contract. I will take my leave now.”
About to rise to my feet his words sent me right back to them.
i make the mistake of letting them know, in will only complicate matters.

1 sank back into the chair, my glare focused on him as I tried to gain clarity of his words.
He did so after a blink. “Unless you are ready to spend the rest of your life with me, you shouldn’t make that mistake.”
I did not understand why explaining the details of our partnership to his parents would make matters difficult. Will it not be better that they knew and didn’t bother us for things we won’t be ready for!
“Why should I believe you? What if it’s the other way around?” I asked seriously, cursing myself for the way his scent was all over.
I was in his world, his personal space, and his room was just as large as it should be..
If you ask me, Alpha Kodak was not just neat outwardly, it cascaded down to the way things were neatly arranged in his room.
He might not be the one arranging them, but the fact that he kept them that way meant he was a tidy person.
I could not understand was why he could not travel when he had the strength to banter words with me.
wolf Olga alerted me, and I frowned a litle. “What are you doing looking for his wolf?” I asked in annoyance, she began to bug me Lervations
The last time we met, I felt his wolf, though we both did not like each other?
Now that got me interested, but if Alpha Kodak could not answer a simple question regarding Zeeva, then how was he going to answer one about
his wollt
“I can’t force you to believe me,” I heard him say, his voice carrying a load of pain, and I was beginning to wonder about the severity of his injuries. His long–sleeve shirt made it impossible for me to see any at this moment.
My only concern was not being the one to shoulder the blame for their breakup when Alpha Kodak had rejected my advice in every way possible.
“I hope no one would blame me for your breakup?” I asked seriously, hoping to use his I–know–it–all attitude, but to my surprise, he replied.
“I can’t guarantee that
Though glad that he was being honest with me, hated the fact that I got entangled in his love affairs. There wasn’t more I could do at that moment, so I stood up again.
“It’s nice knowing your pack. Let’s be in touch.”
By the time I reached the door, a harsh knock met my ears, I turned to stare at Alplua Kudak as he responded
Come in
It was Beta Raul, but the message he delivered seemed to make Kodak uneasy
