Alpha Kodak’s POV
“Alpha, Zeeva is here, but I haven’t let her in yet because Beta Cassius is in the living room,” Raul informed me. Luna Lovette’s eyes held a hint of suspicion.
As expected, she didn’t hesitate to ask, “Is it a problem for my beta to be here?”
I shook my head, feeling the pain in my back lessen, and pushed myself up from the bed. I couldn’t tell if it was the pain medication or the presence of my pup that made me feel better.
“Luna Lovette, please wait here for me.”
Confusion crossed her face, but it was necessary for my pup’s safety. I couldn’t handle a conflict right now, especially with my injuries and my wolf being far away
“If only my injuries were healed, I thought.
“Why? I don’t have an issue with your fiancé. Maybe I should go and apologize for what happened,” she suggested calmly.

The surprise in her eyes almost made me laugh, but Zeeva’s presence prevented it.
“No way. Hurry up, it’s getting late,” she glanced at her wristwatch impatiently, sitting as far from the bed as possible, as if it might burn her
I knew she might be uncomfortable because of Zeeva, but she had a unique opportunity that even Zeeva didn’t have.

Her presence seemed to connect me to my pup even without physical contact, which was comforting, especially since my wolf was distant due to the whip.
“Raul, please send out the invitations, I declared before exiting the room, noticing the mixed expressions on Luna Lovette’s face. I couldn’t discern the dominant emotion, but was relieved she didn’t object.
It wasn’t that she wanted to object, but perhaps I left before she had the charę to do so. As I closed the door, Raul grinned.
“I’ll work on the invitations Luna Lovette is so hot and fierce.” I was about to rebuke him before his expression took a serious turn. “But do you need help with Zeeva? She seems ready to fight for you, and it was a challenge to keep her out
I reassured him, “Lean handle her. Just ensure all the packs receive wedding invitations by tomorrow and one more thing, never, look at Luna Lovette twice”
1 didn’t know why but his sudden interest in Luna Lovette made me uneasy. Raul nodded respectfully. “I’ll update you once it’s door”
The bond with any pup was intense, providing relief from the pain when Luna Lovette was near.
I envied her for carrying our pup and wished I could be there for them every day, but that wasn’t feasible with Luna Lovette.
I went outside to meet Zeeka, knowing she wouldn’t appreciate the patio as she was accustomed to being welcomed everywhere except my room
A strange feeling arose as I recalled allowing Luna Lovette into my bedroom during her first visit. Was it solely due to my injury?

“Kody, my parents made a mistake. Please forgive them,” she pleaded. I almost believed her, but my abservations contradicted her words.

Shock registered in her eyes as she rose from her seat and knelt before me, attempting to touch my feet. I stepped back to avoid her touch. ignoring the frustration in her eyes as she stood up.
