Luna Lovette was stubborn, and in my vulnerable condition, I could not
resist.
Spending time trying to assert dominance over Zeeva had forced me to endure the pain, but being near my pup made it vanish.
When Lana Lovette mentioned leaving, I couldn’t bear the thought.
If Jaguar had been nearby, I might have healed sooner. In a monicht of weakness, I lost myself in my pup’s presence, pulling Luna Lovette clo and wrapping my arms around her slender waist.
It was working. The pain was fading, and I could feel my wounds healing. I couldn’t be sure if the scars would remain, but the absence of pain made me snuggle closer,

I should have asked for her permission, considering she knew I was injured.
There was a mix of surprise and anger on her face as she realized what I had done.

“It’s our pup,” I corrected her firmly. If she continued to claim ownership alone, I might react in a way we both would regret.
Her next question caught me off guard. “What happened to your wolf?”
I couldn’t bring myself to contide in her. Her eagerness to possess my pup was off–putting

I didn’t know the tricks she had up her sleeve, but she would never win against me. Nobody ever had.
Since growing up, I never heard of the Silver Pack being defeated in any war. Now, I felt the need to research Luna Lovette more to understand her better.

I couldn’t help but chuckle. What did she assume when I embraced her so suddenly!
“You misunderstand. A pup shares a bond with its father jou. It eases my pan, so please don’t misinterpret it.
I needed to clarify that my affection was solely for the bond with my pup, and I didn’t feel any romantic attraction towards her.

Their bond between them was very strong, but I sensed there was more to it the more Beta Cassis was reluctant to leave his Luna alone.
“Embry can watch over the pack for us, and the warriors respect her. Let me call her to make the arrangements,” he said earnestly, and Luna Lovette seemed inclined to agree,
“I don’t think it’s wise for you to stay. What if a war breaks out? Can Embry lead in battle? Although our packs are close, a lot could happen.” I cautioned, finding his presence like a block of ice.
Whoever this Embry was, I just could not trust her with something so important, and for as long as Beta Cassius remained, it Luna Lovette to blend in.

However, the warrior’s next words triggered a rage that made me feel as if my wolf had returned.
