Chapter 21
Luna Lovette’s POV
This was the first time I stood before a pack that was not my own, and the reason for this was not something I was proud of.
Faced with the hostile gazes of some pack members, all I wished for was time to move faster
I could return to my simple life with my pup.
Being the Luna of my pack was demanding, but I did not have a man to complicate it as my life had turned out
I could no longer do anything alone without having to consider a man’s feelings or satisfaction. This was unlike me, but I was helpless because I had something that belonged to him as well as to me.
I was surprised that Alpha Kodak had a slogan for his pack because that was something I had never thought about.
The pack members seemed to hond the moment he raised the slogan. However, what amazed me were the shocked expressions on their faces when Alpha Kodak mentioned my name.
It was obvious that most of them did not know me personally, which was understandable since I avoided most of the leaders‘ gatherings.
Casms took care of most of those activities on my behalf. The wonderful things I heard about myself from Alpha Kodak’s pack members when he asked them what they knew about me were completely unexpected.
I had no idea that another pack’s members would know so much about me without even knowing what I looked like.
If I had not been here, I wouldn’t have known that I had made such a great impression among the pack communities.
“Honestly, she’s the most beautiful she–wall I’ve ever seen,” a she–wolf said, and my eyes widened.
I believed that everyone was beautiful in their own way, and no one surpassed another, but she clarified her words before I could misinterpret them.
“I expected her to look more masculine due to how fierce I heard she was.”
1 couldn’t help but smile at this. Interestingly, my body type never displayed muscles like most warrior she wolves, leading to me being underestimated during wars
I was well–toned and wouldn’t be boasting if I said I had a model–like physique because I trained a lot. The last few days after hearing about the pregnancy were the only thing that kept me from training as intensely as I usually would.
“Luna Lovette is the Luna of the Silver pack, and her pack members are the most content. They say she’s so loving and caring. One of them even said she behaves more like a mother than a Luna, I overheard a warrior say, which was true.
Other leaders believe that by creating a distinction between the leader and the pack members, the leader would earn greater respect, but what I
realized from that was fear
These leaders mistakenly equate fear with respect, which are two different things. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
I choose to care for them and have never felt disrespected by any of them for as long as I can remember.
“I heard that Luna Loveste was highly respected and had a keen eye for sporting deceitful men. There was a man who aspired to be the Alpha of her pack, but she saw through his greed and swiftly dealt with him before expelling him from the pack,”
The incident was a topic of amusement among the warriors, but Alpha Kodak’s gaze made me sense a mix of disbelief and admiration.
It was strange for another pack to be so well–informed about me, but everything they said was true.
I wondered who was feeding them information about me. Perhaps I shiqould investigate upon my return, but the transient nature of pack members due to mate bonds made it difficult to dwell on
“I also heard that the elders in her pack attempted to challenge her position but failed, She is unbeatable, and her pack members hold her in high
The revelation about my elders‘ failed power struggle added to my unease.
“I also heard that she never loses in baule, much like us. I’m glad she will be our Luna, eliminating the need for conflict to determine pack strength. We could even consider merging our packs, another warrior chimed in, sparking cheers from the pack.
The unity and enthusiasm of the pack members tugged at my heart. It was a vision of how things should be, but the reality was different. Alpha Kodak and I did not share love, and there was no future for us together.

True. Let’s merge our packs,” they chorused in a sing–song voice. I wanted to lower my head, but my position as the Luna of my pack prevented. me from doing so.
Things had escalated, and it was clear that none of that was going to happen. It saddened me that soon all they would see in me was disappointment, knowing I would never be their Luna.
“Silent Claw pack,” Alpha Kodak roared, successfully regaining their attention.
“Silent but deadly,” they responded excitedly. I swallowed the pain and forced a smile, hoping he wouldn’t ask me to address his pack. That might completely break me.
“I’m glad there are only positive things about Luna Lovette. We are going to get married a week after Ricky’s mating banquer in the next five days, Alpha Kodak announced.
I tensed up at the realization that until my pup was born, I would be known around the packs as his wife.
Then I remembered that we had not discussed our positions in each other’s packs. I hoped we could operate independently to avoid complicating matters in the future.
Alpha Kodak was about to speak when one of the pack members interrupted him.
“Alpha, does this mean Luna isn’t your destined mate! Zeeva was your destined mate, so how could you end things with her and choose Luna Lovette” she inquired.
is a remarkable woman..
Seeing the steely look in her Alpha’s eyes, she quickly rephrased her question. “I mean no disrespect Alpha Luna Lovette is an beautiful, Berce, and intelligent, but isn’t the mate bond supposed to be the strongest connection?”
Her tactful approach caught everyone off guard, and Alpha Kodak appeared at a loss for words before finally responding, leaving us all stunned
