Luna Lovette’s POV
My nervousness about attending an open function with Alpha Kodak dissipated when Beta Raul met us with news of ongoing events,
I was upset at first but everything went smoothly, and I was amazed at how natural it felt to act as a couple.
The pending wedding no longer made n
me nervous, and it was a relief that everything was clarified between Alpha Kodak and Zeeva.
However, I couldn’t shake the pain in my chest when I thought about birthing our pup.
Alpha Kodak had already made significant sacrifices, even enduring punishment to do what was right, and I felt guilty for denying him his blood.
Throughout the party, Alpha Kodak never left my side, and as we stepped out near the end, Zeeva arrived with her parents in a car.

He leaned against the door, arms folded, but I could still hear their conversation from inside.
“Alpha Kodak, I was wrong. Please forgive me for what I did,” Alpha Marrock pleaded. I sensed something was amiss, but Alpha Kodak’s sharp. response echoed my suspicions.
I doubt any Alpha would drive through the night just to ask for forgiveness. Spit it out because I don’t have time”
A faint smile appeared on Alpha Marrock’s face, but Alpha Kodak’s expression remained hidden from my view.
Despite the stern atmosphere, Zeeva’s mother continued to stare at me. I eventually glared back at her, prompting her to stop.
“Alpha Kodak, let’s put the past behind us. I’m willing to go back to how things were. I acknowledge my defeat, but we can still be friends, he shamelessly proposed, igniting anger within me.

Though I couldn’t see his face, I sensed Alpha Kodak seething with anger.
“You are not my father and never will be, but if that method is too much for you, let me make it easier. Your daughter can take the same whip as me. If you decide who is ready to take the whip among the three of you, then you can come for us to have this talk,”

Alpha Kodak had already walked around the car and settled in the driver’s seat before I fully grasped the three people he mentioned, the third being Zeeva’s mother.
She resumed glaring at me, but I no longer paid her any attention. I wasn’t happy with how everything turned out, but I was upset about what they did to Alpha Kodak.
The fact that he did it for his pup only increased the guilt I felt for everything that happened.
Alpha Kodak seemed so angry that he would have driven into them if they hadn’t moved out of the way
“Did you invite them to our wedding?” I asked Alpha Kodak, then remembered that Zeeva had visited me because of the invitation, so he already had.
“Is there a reason you’re asking? You already know I did, Alpha Kodak replied indifferently.
I liked it when he was like that. It kept me on my toes, reminding me that this was all part of a contract. Whenever we were in a crowd, his affection made the uncomfortable.
Beta Raul got into the car he had brought and drove away, with Alpha Kodak following closely behind.
I plan to leave with Cassius after we reach your pack” I hinted, only to be met with his intense gaze,

Since I wasn’t expecting any guests, I inquired, “What are their names?”
“They refuse to disclose their names but insist that you have been expecting them,” Embry replied, adding to my confusion.
However, I knew Embry wouldn’t provide any more information.
“Alright, I will come with Cassius,” I informed her over the phone, but Alpha Kodak interjected possessively. “There’s no way I’m allowing you to travel at a time like this,”
