Yesterday was a remarkable day for me, despite my Alpha’s melancholy over not being able to have Luna Lovette. This was a common struggle for those bound by the mate bond.
My mate has accepted me, and it won’t be long before she officially joins my pack. However, this comes with its own challenges as I will have to suppress my attraction to other she–wolves

After the wedding, Alpha Mason decided to go on patrol as he couldn’t sleep.

Their presence was a welcome change, as Alpha Mason usually kept them away, As a beta, my physical prowess rivals that of an Alpha, so 1 engaged with each of the three she–wolves in multiple rounds before we succumbed to sleep.
I was abruptly awakened by a sharp slap to my face. As I shook off the remnants of sleep. I realized it wasn’t a she–wolf who had stick me accidentally, but Alpha Mason standing before me with a fierce expression.
Confused and disoriented, 1 questioned why he was in my room. Itis gaze was intense, and his words were cutting.
“You are a disgrace. How many times have I warned you to avoid she–wolves before you lose your mate?” he admonished
I had heard this warning before, but I couldn’t understand why it was relevant now. “Alpha, what’s going on” I asked, only to be interrupted by his stern command to the she–wolves in my bed
“If you don’t leave this bed immediately, you will all face banishment,” he threatened.
Startled, the three she–wolves in my bed awoke and hastily fied as Alpha Mason’s voice echoed behind them. “You will all be punished. Beta Scout has found his mate, yet you still chose to engage in inappropriate behavior.”
Nudity was not a major concern, but it was disgraceful for them to run out naked when it was not due to a shift.
I was unable to assist them as Alpha Mason appeared to be upset about something unknown to me.
As they turned to plead, another roar from the Alpha forced them to flee naked. I wondered why Alpha Mason was acting this way, considering he Inew I was not the type to wait for my destined mate
Perhaps it was because I had found my mate, but I refused to let that weigh me down-
“Alpha, what is the issue? I inquired, only to receive another slap. “How dare you bring them here after finding your mater
His words clarified my confusion, and under his intense gaze, I searched for a suitable explanation, even if it was not the whole truth.
“Well, I have a few days left to enjoy myself before our mating,” I remarked, without any hint of remorse. He looked at me with a mix of anger, pity, bittemex, and resentment evident on his face.
“Embry left a few minutes ago,” he informed me.
His words hit me like bullets, causing me to break into a sweat. “Alpha, what do you mean? Embry can’t leave her pack without her Luna’s return.”
The odds were against me and I hoped deeply that it wasn’t what I was thinking.
“You fool. It’s no secret that you can’t keep your impulses in check, and she caught wind of it. Why else would she change the date?” he retorted.
Ifch a strange sensation as tears began to trickle down my check, tears I hadn’t shed in a long time.
Embry did not seem like the kind who left her pack–much if not, I knew she wouldn’t have been excited to be mated to me so someone must her told her and she came to check
The more I thought about it, the greater my confusion and hope that it wasn’t what I was thinking.
“Alpha, please tell me the didn’t see me like this,” 1 pleaded desperately for reassurance, but his response was cold.
“She wanted to surprise you, and I assumed you were exhausted from last night and brought her here, Alpha Mason was saying but my wolf was beginning to cure me.

He was right to have warned me a lot of times, just like my Alpha but I wasn’t ready to lose my mate
If it so happened, I was sure to not find a second chance one since I was the reason for the rejection. Alpha Mason continued to speak nonetheless,
“Not even her presence could rouse you from your escapades with three other women. She left in tears, so you should brace yourself for rejection.” he said harshly, delivering a blow I couldn’t bear
She had altered the plan herself. Why did she have to arrive at such an inopportune moment and so early” “No, I will explain to her,” I said as I hurried out of the room. Before I could reach the door, I heard my Alpha’s mocking voice, “Are you going to see her naked?”
I had never felt ashamed after intimacy before, but this time was different. Rushing back to my room, I quickly threw on the first clothes I could find and drove to the Silver pack.
I drove faster than I ever had in my life, and upon arriving at her pack, the security opened the gate for me without any questions
I was relieved, as this indicated that Embry had not informed them. Perhaps she still cared for me. However, upon reaching the Packhouse. I was greeted by Alpha Kodak’s parents.
They weren’t the people I was looking for so their presence made me anxious
Alpha Kash and Luna Kenzie, I would like to see Embry, please,” I said politely, noticing the confusion on their faces,
“Embry left to come see you and hasn’t returned. What happened? Where is she?” they demanded, care lacing their voice and facial expressions.
I was confused, wondering where she might be, but then I remembered that Embry was Luna Lovette’s best friend and the sister of her beta. Could she have gone to the Silent Claw Pack? There was no harm in trying
“I think I know. I will go find her,” I said and ran out to prevent further questions I was glad they didn’t stop me
The speed I used to reach the Silent Claw Pack was worse than that of the Silver Pack. When I arrived there, I was stopped at the gate.
“Beta Scout, we don’t have information about your arrival. May we know why you are herer the guard asked.
I didn’t know what explanation to give, but I said the only thing that came to mind. “Embry is my mate and she’s here. I came to see her
I saw one of the warriors roll his eyes and knew he was communicating with their Alpha
When he was done, he opened the gate. I was relieved and drove inside. I struggled to keep to the pack speed limit by the moment I reached there, I uw Embry’s eyes so red and putty.
What have I done and how do I convince her to take me back when Bela Rul already met me at the entrance, delivering a punch to my face. I knew he was in love with Embry and that only complicated matters.
Sall, I was determined to see and have Embry back but little did I know the odd things she had in mind, worse than a rejection.
