Fear shone in Beta Scott’s eyes, making me happy as he took steps back, looking up to his Alpha for help.
“Alpha, Luna, is everything alright? I saw the two of you enter the car and drive out I was worried since you hadn’t discharged the pack members,”“” Beta Cassius’s voice interrupted. I turned to him:
“It’s nothing we can’t handle. Discharge the park members on our behalf, I informed him. Kody was already doing a good job, and like he said, he ‘didn’t need help, but Cassius was reluctant to leave.
“Alpha, you should leave an idiot like him to me, He’s not worthy of my sister,” he said to Kody
Now that was a good point. If anyone had the right to avenge Embry, it was Cassus,
“Lovette.” Alpha Mason was saying, but I thought of correcting him. “It’s Luna Loverte, Alpha Mason. Yes, there is a bond between us, but I’m married” I was tired of explaining it over and over again.
“Don’t worry. Perlups we should find a way to explain the reason why rejection isn’t working in our case,” I concluded.
He looked saddened when I mentioned rejection, but I was helpless in the matter.
Being a good guy, he was rejected by his mate, Zeeva, who had a one–night stand or whatever with his beta.
Alpha Mason was pitiful, but there was nothing I could do about it. “I can wait until after you deliver the child. That is if you are truly pregnant. if the bond isn’t breaking, then we are meant to be,” he concluded. I saw the furious look in Kody’s eyes.

“Cassius, go discharge the pack members,” I remembered and instructed him. He left reluctantly but returned within seconds.

Sometimes, I just forget that Kody’s parents were once an Alpha and Luna, knowing everything about pack management.
“I thought that the Moon goddess mating him to you was an honor, but just like Zeeva, you rejected him for a man who belongs to her,” he yelled.
Alpha Mason was about to discipline him again, but I held up my hand to signal him to stop,

I don’t know the effect of my words on Beta Scott, but his glare on me was hostile.

No one would understand how I ended up with Kody except those who already did, and I didn’t think an irresponsible person like Beta Scott would understand.
