After Simone went back to her bedroom, Cyrus noticed her backpack was left on the couch in the living room.
He walked over, intending to take it upstair

However, the condition of the certificates made Cyrus feel sorry. Many were crumpled, some torn, and others stained as if they’d been soaked. Seeing this. Cyrus felt a sharp pain in his chest.
He thought, “Kids are innocent, and they love to show off their achievements. How could a child bear to crumple or tear up their certificates?

When Sunione came home from school the next day, she noticed workers busy in the living room
The living room didn i need any renovations, so Simone turned to ask Matthew, “Matthew, what’s going on here?”

Samone assumed Cyrus had something specific he wanted to display, so she didn’t ask further, Instead, she headed straight to her room.
When Sanghe returned home the next evening, she froze in place, staring at the stunning display cabinet that dominated the living room wall
The entire cabinet was filled with her certificates from over the years. Even the ones she had tom to shreds in despair had been carefully pieced back together
“Do you like them?” Cyrus asked as he walked in, spotting Simone standing in front of the display cabinet. He reached out and gently rubbed her

Simone let out a genuine laugh. “This is the first time I’ve seen an entire wall covered in awards. It feels pretty great.”
“Thank you. Cyrus,” Simone said sincerely. She could feel how much he cared for her.
“You’re my daughter. I’m glad you like it. Cyrus said, amused by her politeness.
Simone silently wished he would always treat her this well. However, then, a thought crossed her mind, and her gaze dimmed, her mood suddenly Jurning somber.
After a moment, she said softly, “Someday, you’ll have more kids. As soon as the words left her lips, Simone turned her head with a sad look. Cyrus felt a sharp pair in his chest, and he could sense the disappointment in Simone’s words.

Simone nodded but didn’t fully believe him. She thought, ‘He’s bound to get married and have children. Maybe in the end, he’ll turn out to be just like Samuel
However, Cyrus words still melted Simone’s heart, making her happy. She had never felt this kind of joy before.
Cyrus could feel Simone’s happiness, and perhaps it rubbed off on him. The next day, when he went to the office, he was in such a good mood that even a loss of several million dollars due to employer mistakes didn’t faze him.
