After coming back from school, Charles found himself lost in thought.
Three–year–old Simone was a quiet, withdrawn girl. In her tiny world, there was only her dad, Samuel. She wouldn’t let anyone else in. Wanting Simone to have friends her age, Samuel decided to adopt two more kids to keep her company

Charles just smiled, ruffled Raymond’s han, and shook his head. Even though he was so hungry he felt dizzy, he wouldn’t even look at the drumstick. He insisted, “You eat. I’m not hungry.”
Raymond couldn’t resist tymore. He finally took the drumstick and started gnawing on it hungrily.
Just then, Charles noticed Simone watching him from afar.

Simone was soft and cuddly all over, and Charles felt like he was being wrapped up by a fluffy ball. Afraid she might fall, he didn’t dare move away. In that moment, a sweet milky scent washed over him, and his heart trembled.
