Securing a major exclusive, even if it wasn’t publicly revealed, could still be used to privately coerce the other party into buying their silence. Such a golden opportunity was naturally not something a media person would let slip by
And in front of the camera, after Gabrielle finished speaking, she turned around and walked away.
“Gabrielle, just you wait.” Chloe gritted her teeth. The moment Gabrielle stood in front of the camera, her heart nearly leapt out of her chest.
It was a close call. Gabrielle almost ruined her.
“Chloe, let’s not bother with her. Upon seeing his sister almost stumble, Benjamin immediately stepped forward to steady her.
Chloe gripped Benjamin’s arm tightly.
She was practically leaning on him, her back to the camera. Once they were out of the camera’s sight, Chloe whispered, “Ben, she came for me. Could she be planning to ruin me through this variety show? Could she be deliberately spreading false rumors to tarnish my reputation?” Chloe’s voice choked a little.
Benjamin, his heart aching, shielded her gently and murmured, “Don’t worry, I won’t give her that chance.”
“Don’t forget, back then, I bought her a hefty accident insurance. This is the final move. If she wants to ruin you, then we…” Benjamin lowered his voice, leaving the rest of his words unsaid.
He locked eyes with Chloe, their mutual understanding unspoken yet clear.
“But…” Chloe’s lips moved slightly, wanting to say that with so many people from the production crew around, it wasn’t easy
to make a move.
But Benjamin affectionately patted her head, saying, “There are no “buts‘! You’re too kind, always considering her. Don’t forget, you’re the one we raised in our family”
“You’re much closer to us than she is,” Benjamin comforted.
Chloe’s lips moved slightly, a smile finally surfacing on his face. In a soft voice, he said, “Ben, you’re the best.”
As the two conversed, they quickened their pace to catch up with Caleb. Ryan trailed behind, watching their intimate silhouettes and fell deep in thought.
The photographer quickly followed suit, while the director, lost in thought, looked up at the sky.
“I’m not sure if what Gabrielle said is true, but we should find a more secluded spot tonight, just in case things get tricky if a storm arises,” the director whispered.
After all, there were over thirty production team members. If something were to go wrong, it would become quite a hassle. Therefore, the director immediately instructed a few crew members to scout for a location, preferably a cave near the guest area or a spot shielded from the wind for setting up the camp.
On the other side, Gabrielle was rubbing his wrist, looking around.
“In the forest, if you wanted to eat, you had to hunt, but we didn’t have any tools,” Brendan said, pulling out the stun baton he had on him.
“We have daggers, ropes, stun batons, and even wolf–repellent spray. Hunting is practically impossible” Nadia shook her
head.
Jennifer pulled out her pepper spray, looking somewhat bewildered as she asked, “Can this be used on animals?”
“Hahal” Upon hearing this, Nadia couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Imagining animals as lecherous figures was indeed somewhat absurd.

Gabrielle was busy peeling the bark off a tree with a dagger, while Brendan was focused on digging the ground with a stick. Jennifer and Nadia were off in search of tree branches. Each person had a clear task at hand
In no time at all, Jennifer and Nadia had gathered a large pile of firewood. Gabrielle had crafted several small devices, and together with Brendan, they had set up a few traps.
You guys take these firewoods back into the cave first. Brendan and I will go look for some food.” Gabrielle said
Upon seeing the situation, Nadia glanced outside, noticing that night was quickly approaching
As the sun slanted toward the west, the crimson hues of the sunset bathed the ground in a warm glow. The entire forest was eerily silent, reminiscent of the calm before a storm.
Nadia was feeling a bit uneasy, and she said to Jennifer, “We better hurry up and gather more firewood. Just in case the wind really picks up, we’ll need to start a fire tonight.”
“Sure.” Jennifer had no objections.
Gabrielle and Brendan strolled toward the seaside in the morning light. They hadn’t ventured far into the woods, so it didn’t take long for them to reach the beach. Once there, she stood, lost in thought.
“Catch fish! It’s hard to catch fish on this kind of beach,” Brendan stated.
He scanned his surroundings, only to find that Gabrielle had moved aside. She had plucked a few leaves, rubbing them between her palms for a moment, before tossing them into the sea.
Brendan was somewhat puzzled, yet he dared not ask further.
In a short while, he saw a school of fish rushing toward him, as if they had sensed some delectable food. They were all vying to be the first, eager and frantic. Brendan held his breath, thinking his eyes were playing tricks on him.
Even the photographer was a bit taken aback, quickly shouldering the camera and striding forward, zooming in with the lens.
Gabrielle removed her shoes and went into the sea. She swiftly reached toward the school of fish. With precision, she caught Two large fish and tossed them onto the grassy area. Brendan, too, lunged forward.
The fish, startled by his presence, hastily tried to flee. Seeing this, he quickly gave chase, stepping on a fish in the process. As he reached out with both hands to grab it, the fish seized the opportunity to slip away.
“Don’t go.” Brendan was frantic, hastily chasing after it.
Gabrielle quickly grabbed a tree branch from the side, swiftly jabbing it into the water. She managed to spear three fish in succession, almost breaking the branch with the force, Hurriedly, she hoisted her catch and pulled back.
“I’ve got it, I’ve finally got it!” Brendan was somewhat excited, his laughter breaking through his wide grin.
He held a fish, about the size of his palm, and quickly strode toward Gabrielle. Upon seeing the fish impaled on the tree branch she held, he then looked at his own.
“How did you manage to do that? You just tossed some Brendan asked, sounding rather puzzled.
grass into the water and the fish swarmed over. How is that possible”
Had he not seen it with his own eyes, he would have hardly dared to believe it.
Gabrielle had brought the fish ashore, and after putting on her shoes, she gestured for Brendan to hold the other two fish. As they started to walk back, she began speaking. There was a plant called chameleon plant near the shore. It has a strong fishy smell. Then, I combined several types of herbs, kneaded them together, and tossed them into the water. The smell of their own kind triggered illusions for the fish. Fish will desperately swim toward this direction,” Gabrielle explained. The water near the shore is shallow, leaving them somewhat oxygen–deprived and struggling to breathe, which hinders their movements. This provides an opportunity to catch them. However, seawater is constantly moving. If you’re not quick enough, the fish will realize the trap and swim away,”
Upon hearing this, Brendan, who usually maintained a cold and aloof demeanor, could hardly keen his com

“This is the first time I’ve heard such a thing. Are you familiar with herbs?” Brendan asked as if he had discovered a new world. His once aloof demeanor was long gone by this point.
In the past, he was a man of few words, preferring silence over speech whenever possible. He didn’t care much for mingling with people in his circle, resulting in a limited number of friends within it
Some people believed he was arrogantly self–important, but he never offered any explanations.
The fans in the live chatroom instantly exploded with excitement. They hadn’t expected their beloved idol to be such a lively
character behind the scenes. He was constantly asking questions, like a curious little boy.
