No sooner had he finished speaking than Jonathan’s figure had already departed. Keiran watched the live broadcast on the screen, his gaze fixed on Nadia. He heard her enthusiastically introducing another man to him.
Keiran mused thoughtfully.
On an island, at night, after Chloe and Benjamin left, Caleb gave Gabrielle a glance before he and Ryan turned and departed.
“These folks from Team A, they’ve got some issues, don’t they? Nadia blurted out. “We didn’t even provoke them, so why are they looking at us as if we’ve done something to them?”
The incident that just occurred had further tarnished Nadia’s impression of them.
“After a long pause, Brendan concluded. “In the future, we should keep our distance from them to avoid being manipulated.”
Only Jennifer stood there, hesitating for a few seconds.
She tugged gently at Gabrielle’s sleeve, whispering, “Gabrielle, do you fully understand the contract you signed earlier? Did you read through all the terms? I saw how Benjamin came at you, full of determination, as if he’s set on having you and won’t let you go easily, Jennifer said in a hushed tone. “You didn’t automatically renew your contract, did you?”
She had no one to rely on, no one behind her, and being a newcomer, she naturally didn’t dare to retaliate directly against Nadia and Brendan.
However, she was well aware that contracts within the entertainment industry were always filled with pitfalls.
Even within the contract, there were certain clauses that implied unspoken rules. Not only was she expected to accompany them for drinks, but she was also required to share their bed. Should she refuse, it would be considered a breach of contract. for which she would have to pay a penalty.
She recalled an incident where she had witnessed a girl being targeted. The girl was forcibly dragged into a hotel. When she emerged the second time, she called the police, claiming she had been assaulted. After that, she vanished without a trace.
Up until then, she hadn’t heard any news about this girl. However, she had a vague feeling that the girl must have passed haway.
“It’s alright, my connection with the Seavers family has come to an end,” Gabrielle said softly.
She had always known that her familial ties were thin and couldn’t be forced. She had never experienced the tender love of a family, so she chose to stay with the Seavers family, hoping to experience in
Unfortunately, she was left disappointed.
Things that weren’t destined to be in one’s life could not be forced, nor could they be obtained by insistence.
Because she had been so demanding in her past life, she tragically met her end at the hands of her own family.
Now that she had been reincarnated and returned, she had also had an epiphany–breaking away from the Seavers family was just the beginning. She was determined to make all those who had harmed her pay a terrible price.
“As long as you’re aware, it’s best not to confront them directly! Be careful,” Jennifer whispered softly.
Gabrielle chuckled sofily, prompting Jennifer to turn around and start cleaning up the aftermath. Seeing that the wild boar had been killed, the members of the production crew dispersed, and the cameraman also left.
“How should we deal with this wild boar?” Nadia looked at the creature, somewhat at a loss.
Gabrielle stepped forward, glanced over, and said, “Slice off the meat, marinate it with salt, and let it dry tomorrow to make cured meat. This way, it will last longer.”
“I think it’s doable, Brendan quickly nodded in agreement.
He was the only guy in Team B. so he took it upon himself to drag the wild boar over.

Jennifer hurriedly went to gather tree branches. The forest was abundant with them, and in no time, she came back, arms full of branches. Nadia, however, was still crouched in the same spot.
Watching her deftly handle the knife, curiosity piqued, Jennifer asked, “You know how to slaughter a pig?”
“No, but this is simple. I’ve seen it on television before. Gabrielle said softly.
She had a photographic memory, which made even cutting meat simple for her. She would glide the knife along the lines, and a perfect piece of meat would present itself right before her eyes.
Gabrielle moved swiftly, while Brendan and Nadia, who evidently lacked experience in such tasks, were somewhat clumsy skewering the meat. Jennifer was at their side, lending a hand.
Half hour later, the pig had been butchered. All the meat was hung up.
She also gifted some to the production team, keeping a large portion for herself. Then, she picked up the fish that was left over from before and hung it up.
After they had finished cleaning up, they found a spot with water to freshen up.
When they returned to the cave, it was already eleven at night. Gabrielle unfolded her tent and commented, “My tent is quite spacious, probably enough to accommodate four people.
As she spoke, she simultaneously lit the firewood they had gathered during the day.
The cave lit up in an instant. Since the entrance wasn’t sealed, starting a fire inside wouldn’t be a problem. Plus, considering the chill that was likely to set in at night, the fire would ensure that sleep wouldn’t be disturbed by the cold.
“Shall the three of us share a tent tonight?” Gabrielle suggested softly. “Otherwise, setting up individual tents will take up too much space, and it would be hard to look out for each other if something happens.”
She didn’t mind sharing a bed with others, but she wasn’t sure if they were willing to share a tent.
“Sure, we
can chat while sharing the tent” Nadia agreed, raising her hand in approval.
Naturally, Jennifer didn’t mind. The three of them set up the tent together, with Brendan lending a hand. Once it was all set up, Gabrielle took out some medicinal powder and sprinkled it around the perimeter of their tent and also at the entrance of
the cave.
“What is this?” Nadia asked curiously as she leaned in closer.
Gabrielle stood at the entrance of the cave, peering outward as she spoke. “It’s snake repellent powder, along with other medicinal powders. They’re mainly used for warding off snakes and the like.”
The mere mention of snakes had Nadia’s skin crawling with goosebumps
The thought of the snake coiling around her leg made her instinctively press herself against Gabrielle.
“Snakes are afraid of snake repellent powder. Once sprinkled, they would detour even from a distance. We’re safe tonight.” Gabrielle said, looking at her frightened expression and smiling indulgently.
Looking at Nadia, her eyes sparkled brightly. Although she was part of the entertainment industry, she lacked the cunning typically associated with it. She was a frank and straightforward person.
“You brought this with you? It’s a good thing I chose to be with you. Otherwise, I suspect I would have been in trouble.” Nadia murmured under her breath.
Jennifer trotted over, lowering her voice as she spoke, “You know, I heard that Team A has been struggling to find food. Do you think they’ll go to bed hungry tonight?”
“Haha, that’s just perfect. Nadia thought of Chloe’s awkward situation, and her mood greatly improved.
wover.
Upon seeing three women standing at the entrance of the cave, Brendan also made his way-
Upon noticing Gabrielle’s deeply troubled expression, his curiosity was piqued, and he asked, “Are you worried about the

His single sentence left both Nadia and Jennifer stunned. Had he not brought it up, they would have completely forgotten about it. Right when they disembarked the ship, Gabrielle mentioned that there would be wind that night.
“It’s midnight. Time to rest, Gabrielle gently suggested.
What they didn’t realize was that the production crew and photographers had withdrawn, subtly leaving the cameras to do their work, continuing to broadcast every angle in a full three–hundred–and–sixty–degree view
The photographer was nothing more than a decoy. They had already installed high–definition cameras in the forest ahead of time.
Except for their private moments, such as bathing, sleeping, and using the restroom, during which they would turn off the camera, they were live streaming at all other times.
The show’s crew, however, didn’t share this with them. The sole purpose was to surprise the people in the live broadcast.
