Their gazes followed her movement upward, only to find a long leg dangling from above, Chloe was trapped between the branches of the tree. Her clothes were slightly disheveled, and her skirt was lifted, revealing a glimpse of her thigh.
“Mr. Nicolson, it’s Chloe. She’s been washed ashore and got stuck in a tree!” someone exclaimed.
Chloe lay sprawled there, gritting her teeth and glaring resentfully at Gabrielle.
Her fury was so intense she felt on the brink of madness. She had regained her composure when the seawater receded. Just as she prepared to climb down, she noticed the entire production crew rushing toward her. A mischievous idea sparked in her
mind.
She could stage a “disappearance” stunt to throw the team into chaos.
Little did she expect the crowd below to grow larger by the second. Perched in the tree, she hesitated. Hearing Patrick call for Gabrielle, she decided to stay put, eager to see her squirm.
But her plan backfired spectacularly. By calling attention to herself, she ended up in an embarrassing predicament. Her disheveled state, combined with the growing audience, made her wish she could vanish into thin air..
Chloe let out a sharp scream. She turned and leaped from the tree, pretending to fall. A staff member rushed forward and caught her just in time.
Her complexion was pale, her cheeks bore a few scrapes, and her sunburned skin added to her slightly disheveled
appearance.
“Oh no, she’s fainted!” someone exclaimed in alarm.
Patrick stepped forward with a stern expression, his gaze cold as he studied Chloe’s unconscious form.
Yet, when he looked at Gabrielle, his gaze became unbearably intense. Gabrielle was actually capable of making accurate predictions, even knowing exactly where Chloe was.
This revelation left him utterly astounded.
He was familiar with tales of divine predictions, though most often they turned out to be fraudulent schemes by con artists. Never in his wildest dreams did he expect to come across someone with genuine prophetic abilities.
“Where is Benjamin? Can you locate him?” Patrick asked anxiously.
Gabrielle turned toward the thicket nearby.
She had scarcely glanced in its direction when a disheveled figure emerged. His eyes, fiery and intense, scanned the crowd before he strode forward.
“Move away!” Benjamin barked.
The crowd immediately parted, allowing him to storm through. His burning gaze locked onto Chloe’s face as he spotted two staff members supporting her.
“Gabrielle, if anything happens to her, you’ll have me to answer to
The moment he laid eyes on Gabrielle, his fury burst forth uncontrollably. After a night of suffering, his emotions were worn qut and on the verge of breaking.
Gabrielle remained composed, an amused smile playing on her lips as she regarded him. Her indifference only stoked Benjamin’s anger further.
“Did I somehow offend you? Or did I cause the sea to wash you all away? Everyone knows Mr. Nicolson ordered you to withdraw last night. She refused, so why am I the one being blamed?” Gabrielle remarked with a soft chuckle.
Benjamin’s fists clenched tightly as his anger threatened to take over.

safe. Why else would you let us stay there? We’re right by the sea, and if the wind picks up, things could turn dangerous fast. But you didn’t bother to warn us, Benjamin said, his tone firm and unwavering.
The others turned their gaze toward Benjamin, unable to believe what they had just heard.
They wondered if the sea had washed away his sanity, as his words seemed utterly nonsensical.
“Pift, so much for the Seavers family’s supposedly superior genes. They sure don’t think like the rest of us!” Gabrielle scoffed. “You love throwing accusations around to make yourself feel important and shifting blame onto others whenever it suits you Tell me. Mr. Seavers, is framing people just second nature to you now?
Benjamin’s expression darkened as he faced her unexpected aggression.
He hadn’t anticipated her outright challenging him like this, let alone in public.
His gaze lingered on her fiery demeanor before he turned away in annoyance. In a low voice, he muttered, “How did you end up like this?”
Gabrielle’s eyes hardened. “And what exactly should I be, then? Should I just sit back and take the blame whenever things go wrong?”
She stepped forward slightly, the force of her presence making Benjamin instinctively step back. A chill ran through him as unease crept in.
“Remember the last time the typhoon hit? You were leaving the set and your car broke down halfway, hit by flying debris. I was the one who came for you in the middle of the night, carried you to the hospital step by step. If I hadn’t, your leg would be useless now. And that song recording incident? You got drunk and hit someone. Your family was terrified it would destroy your future, so I took the fall for you. And just half a month ago, you got into a fight at the club. I was the one who stood in for you, taking those blows in the middle of the night. Was that not enough for you? Do you really think that just because the Seavers family signed an eight–month trial contract with me, I owe you my soul? This is all about saving face, isn’t it? Shifting the blame onto me, using me as the perfect scapegoat for Chloe’s mistakes. She refused to withdraw last night, but somehow, I’m the one at fault? You’re spoiling her, Benjamin. What, is she your woman now?” Gabrielle said, a cunning glint flashing in her eyes.
Under her relentless pressure, Benjamin found himself instinctively retreating. Guilt clouded his expression as he turned his head, hoping to silence her. However, she managed to expose all of his unsavory deeds.
His face paled with fury, yet he couldn’t find the words to defend himself.
He could only stand there, speechless, watching as she unleashed everything she had long kept buried.
“What on earth are you talking about?” Benjamin snapped..
མ
She knows perfectly well that Chloe is my sister, yet she purposely worded it that way in front of everyone. Is she trying to manipulate the situation? She’s absolutely ruthless.

“Why so worked up?” Gabrielle said coolly. “I’m only stating the facts. With that, she turned to leave.
But in her movement, she accidentally stepped down hard on Chloe’s hand that was resting on the ground.
Chloe, pretending to be unconscious, let out a sharp ery as an intense pain shot through her fingers.
The agony made her eyes snap open, and she sat up in the arms of the staff member.
Cabrielle observed her as tears flowed endlessly down her face and let out a soft chuckle. “Ah, so you were only pretending to
fint.
“You!” Chloe was so infuriated that she pulled back her hand. Upon meeting the gaze of everyone around her, she got up, turned around, and stormed off.
However, she had spent the entire night perched in a tree. Her legs were numb and uncooperative. After only a few steps, she stumbled heavily to the ground.
Ah she cried out, her face pressed against the damp mud.
