Gabrielle turned to Nadia and suggested. “Let’s take a stroll and see if the island has anything we can cook for dinner.
“Sure thing.” Nadia was in high spirits.
Seeing Chloe in such a state, she felt an indescribable sense of joy.
Meanwhile, Jennifer was dumbfounded. She stared blankly at Ryan. She intended to walk toward him but stopped a few steps
away.
Without looking back, she turned and strode off, catching up with Gabrielle.
Brendan watched Jennifer thoughtfully, then lifted his foot to follow her.
“Gabrielle, we’re gravely sick, and you still have the mood to walk around?” Benjamin bellowed. He was exasperated when he saw Gabrielle bypassing him.
Gabrielle didn’t even spare him a glance. Her nonchalance infuriated Benjamin.
Watching her nonchalant demeanor, Benjamin was driven to the brink of madness. He thought Gabrielle had ill intentions. She had come over to enjoy the spectacle, which upset him.
“Come back! Do you have medicine? Give it to me!” Benjamin roared, clutching his aching stomach, and quickened his pace, eager to catch up.
Yet, he saw Gabrielle turning her head to the side, casting him a sidelong glance.
A spark of amusement flashed in her eyes. She glanced at Benjamin before murmuring, “Gosh, Loverate just now.”
“You!” Benjamin was so frustrated that he gritted his teeth.
He wanted to stride forward, but the pain in his stomach held him back. He had no choice but to turn around and storm off.
What’s going on! I’m questioning Chloe and Benjamin. Why were they always blaming Gabrielle for everything?
Where are the paparazzi Have they found out what’s going on yet? This is driving me up the wall!
I think Gabrielle is a cool girl. I would think she’s putting on an act if she should concern toward Team.d. However, she didn’t utter a single
board.
The netizens were disgusted by Benjamin’s shameless behavior.
The curiosity about Chloe and Benjamin’s relationship only grew. After all, Chloe would casually address Benjamin, making them seem like siblings. Yet, their intimacy suggested they might be lovers. It was all rather peculiar.
In Drocver, within the Seavers residence, Marilyn had been glued to the television screen, watching the live broadcast over the past couple of days,
She was so upset that she couldn’t eat her meals. She was trembling with anger when she saw Gabrielle’s smiling face.
“Gabrielle, that brat! Didn’t she always carry medicine around? She even claimed to have grown up in the mountains, learning traditional medicine from her mentor. Why did she stand by and do nothing?”
“Was she going to stand by and watch Chloe and Benjamin be poisoned to death? I know she was ruthless, but I didn’t expect her to be so malicious,” said Marilyn.
She immediately picked up her cell phone and dialed Zachary’s number.

“Zach, we can’t let Gabrielle off the hook! When she returns, I’ll make her p
She felt a vague sense of eeriness, as if something ominous loomed behind her.
A gust of wind blew in from outside, and Marilyn felt something swaying above her. Slowly, she lifted her gaze and saw the

Just as she was about to get up, it was too late. She watched, wide–eyed, as the crystal chandelier came crashing toward her with a loud thud.
“Help!” Marilyn’s eyes widened in alarm.
She felt a surge of pain in her leg. The chandelier had fallen on her, its crystals jabbing into her flesh. Blood gushed out in an instant. She tried to crawl away, but her leg felt as though it had been crushed.
She strained to move, but her legs refused to cooperate. A stream of blood trickled down her forehead. Reaching to touch it, she felt the warm blood continuously flowing down her cheek.
“Blood, so much blood!” Marilyn hadn’t anticipated that the crystal shards would pierce her forehead.
Her eyes rolled back, nearly causing her to faint.
It seemed that since Gabrielle had agreed to the arranged marriage, things had taken a turn for the worse. After Gabrielle jreturned and took away the jade pendant Marilyn used to wear around her neck, her health had been deteriorating.
Misfortunes had also started to plague the Seavers family.
Was it a coincidence?
Marilyn didn’t dare let her thoughts wander further. An emerald pendant couldn’t be that powerful. It must be a coincidence.
Marilyn collapsed onto the floor. She reached out for her cell phone, intending to make a call. However, she felt an intense heat radiating from the phone. She brought the phone up to her face to take a closer look.
She was taken aback when her phone exploded right in front of her.
Marilyn stared in shock, as if the world had gone dark. A burning pain spread across her face.
Felix had just rushed back from an errand when he heard an explosion. Holding his car keys, he quickly ran toward the source of the sound. To his horror, he found his mother lying in a pool of blood with a crystal chandelier crushing her legs.
Marilyn’s face was dark, marred with indistinguishable flesh and blood. A shard of crystal was lodged in her forehead, causing a continuous blood flow that trickled down her cheek.
Had it not been for the nightgown, Felix would have hardly believed that the woman before him was his mother.
“Mom, are you okay?” Felix quickly rushed forward.
He moved the crystal chandelier aside, revealing Marilyn’s leg, which was positioned oddly. He reached out to touch it, noticing the bones had been crushed.
“Zach, Mom’s in danger!” Felix was terrified.
He hastily dialed Zachary’s number, then promptly called for an ambulance.
At that moment, his face was distorted with terror. He stood there, turning his head to watch the live broadcast on the television. The screen showed Benjamin and Chloe with pale faces, collapsing to the ground. They were clutching their stomachs as they ran off into the bushes.
“Who is targeting our family? Is it Gabrielle? -Felix clenched his fists.
Since Gabrielle agreed to the marriage, the Seavers family had weird events.
Felix was sure that Gabrielle was up to no good. Could it be her revenge plot against the Seavers family, intending to bring them to their demise? At this thought, Felix immediately made a phone call.
“Hello, police. I need to report a crime. I suspect someone infiltrated my house, causing the chandelier to break and fall, which crushed my mother’s leg. Even her phone was tampered with, causing an explosion that injured her face.”
“Yes, we have surveillance cameras, Felix stated coldly.

“If I’m not mistaken, both her legs are severely fractured,” the doctor said as he instructed to lift Marilyn into the ambulance carefully.
Felix remained at the scene. When the police arrived, the paramedics were carrying Marilyn to the ambulance. The police promptly went into the house to retrieve the surveillance cameras.
Technical staff also took measures to protect the chandeliers and cell phones. After multiple checks, they found out it was an accident.
From the surveillance cameras, no outsider had entered the house to touch the chandelier.
“There’s no way. How could the chandelier break and fall? And to land on my mom of all people?” Felix was unhappy with the
outcome.
The police officer noticed Felix’s obsessive demeanor and kindly showed Felix the surveillance cameras.
“Is this your pet cat? It knocked your mother over, causing her to not get up in time and get hit. If we’re talking about blame, I’m afraid the cat holds a significant responsibility.”
May I ask who the owner of this cat is?” the police officer inquired.
