Everything has nothing to do with Gabrielle. The evidence was right before Felix, clearly exonerating Gabrielle, but he couldn’t believe such a coincidence could exist in this world.
Thanks, Officer, Felix said. His face darkened, yet he had no other choice.
After the police had left. Felix grabbed the car keys and love toward the hospital. Just as he got into the car, Zachary’s call came through, which he promptly answered,
“Zach, how’s mom doing?” Felix asked in a hushed tone.
Zachary was upset. He growled, “Damn it! Both lier legs were crushed and fractured. Her face was injured by the explosion, with a significant area of burns.”
“The wound on the forehead where the crystal slinrd pierced was severe. The doctors didn’t dare to remove the crystal shard. What on earth happened?” Zachary asked. His voice was faced with frustation and desperation.
Out of the blue, an accident happened to Marilyn,
Could it be that she was just unlucky? Even a car accident wouldn’t have been as severe as this.
Tve called the police, and they collected evidence. They concluded it was an hecident,” Felix said through gritted teeth. He started the car and spell off toward the hospital,
As he drove away, he caught a glimpse in the rear–view mirror. The Seavers residence seemed somewhat eerie, as if shrouded by dark clouds. He rubbed his eyes and looked again but found nothing amiss.
Felix felt a sense of foreboding stirring within hian. It was as if he wanted to escape, Ile pressed down on the accelerator and sped away.
On the deserted island, Gabrielle felt heat from the emerald pendant.
She touched it, realizing it had heated up for a few seconds before returning to its normal temperature.
Gabrielle snickered, a glint of coldness Insling in her eyes.
Aher returning to the Seavers family, she gave Marilyn the emerald pendant. Over the past seven months, Marilyn had worn in daily. Consequently, everything went smoothly for Marilyn, and her sleep improved significantly.

Just a moment ago, the emerald pendant had heated up, indicating that Marilyn had worn it for a long time. The pendant had always protected her, and even after it was taken back, a residual aura lingered around her.
After the emerald pendant heated up, it dispersed the blessing on Marilyn.
This signified that the emerald pendant had purged Marilyn’s aura, returning it to originality. Therefore, without the blessing. Marilyn must have encountered some misfortune.
“Are you feeling good, Gabby?” Nadia curiously asked as she noticed the sparkle of amusement in Gabrielle’s eyes.
Gabrielle had a smile so broad that it was hard to ignore.
“Today is my birthday. You all celebrated it for me. I should give something back,” Gabrielle said in a low voice.
Nadia’s eyes lit up as she listened. She whispered, “Aren’t you skilled in fortune–telling? How about you tell my fortune?”
“Sure, Gabrielle agreed happily.
Nadia glanced back at the cameraman, whispering. Tonight, we’ll do fortune–telling before sleeping”
“Okay.” Gabrielle replied.
When Jennifer heard about fortune–telling, her expression became peculiar. Her eyes flickered unnaturally, seemingly flustered. She was curious about Gabrielle’s ability.
“Up ahead, there should be pineapples. Let’s go take a look,” Gabrielle whispered.
Brendan followed behind, watching as the group of women jogged ahead. They moved past a stretch of trees and underbrush until pineapple plants appeared.
The pineapples grew in the wild. They looked bigger than expected.
“The leaves look similar to the ones we use to wrap food, Jennifer remarked.
Gabrielle strode forward, wielding a dagger. She skillfully sliced off the large pineapple, holding it up in the palm of her hand. The fragrance instantly hit their noses, making everyone involuntarily salivate.
“It’s similar, but the leaves used for food wrapping are not pineapple leaves. The leaves for wrapping have thorns on both sides. Typically, we remove the thorns before we can wrap food,” Gabrielle explained.
She swiftly peeled the pineapple, her movements smooth and decisive. Given the fruit’s large size, she cut it into several pieces and handed some to the cameraman.
very sweet. The taste of wild fruit is unique. The pineapple flavor is so intense, Nadia commented as she ate.
Jennifer and Brendan quickly agreed. They chatted and ate as they made their way further in.
The forest was serene, with lush trees providing ample shade even at noon, making it far from sweltering. Gabrielle briskly walked deeper into the forest, with the group trailing behind her.
“Gabby, besides looking for fruits, what else should we do?” Nadia curiously asked.
Gabrielle looked around, seemingly familiar with the forest. She knew her directions well and ventured confidently without needing a map or navigation.
“Isn’t there a wild chicken? We’ll cook it tonight. I’ll go find some wild medicinal herbs to enhance its flavor,” Gabrielle replied.
As she was speaking, she abruptly halted in her tracks.
Nadia almost bumped into her. When everyone saw Gabrielle’s expression, they quickly shut their mouths.
“What’s the matter?” Jennifer asked anxiously.
Gabrielle turned around and said, “There might be a venomous snake. You all should step back. The presence of a venomous make indicates that and medicinal herbs are nearlur”

“Cabby, let’s stop hunting for herbs. We should get out of here. Even if you’re not afraid of snakes, getting bitten could spell trouble, Nadia whispered.
Gabrielle’s eyes slightly narrowed as she turned to look at Brendan.
“Give me your rope,” she said.
Brendan hastily searched his backpack, handing over the rope.
After receiving the rope, Gabrielle said to him, “You bring them back. If there are snakes, they will track you down by your
scent.”
“I have snake repellent powder in my bag. Although I had spread it around earlier, the rain was heavy last night, and I fear it might have been washed away. Once you return, take out the powder and sprinkle it around our dwelling. Stay inside and don’t venture out until I return, Gabrielle instructed.
Brendan felt an immense heaviness in his heart.
