Jonathan also halted the bodyguards trailing behind. All the guards and servants were dismissed. Following that, he carried some coffee and snacks and headed toward the gazebo.
“Grandpa, did anything feel off the day you fell?” Gabrielle asked, seated nearby.
She bent over to meet Arthur’s gare, her vo

When she questioned Arthur, a wave of terror washed over his aged face. After a prolonged silence, he finally admitted, “Something is indeed amiss
“I had prepared gifts and monetary gifts to visit you all. Unexpectedly, just as I stepped out, I found myself wandering far only to end up back at the starting point. However, when I inquired with the servants at home, they all said that I had just tripped as soon as 1 left the house.” Arthur said in a deep voice.

“After you walked for quite a while, did you notice anything amiss?” Gabrielle asked in a hushed tone.
Arthur gave a slight nod, his hand tightly gripping the side of the wheelchair. He answered in a low voice, “Something indeed felt off It was as if my legs were bound by something, unable to move.
“Thus, I ran as fast as I could, and when I fell, the servants found me with a broken leg.” said Arthur, waving his hand dismissively. “I guess I’m getting old, and my mind isn’t as sharp as it used to be.”
Despite saying that. Arthur turned his sharp black eyes toward Gabrielle, trying to decipher what she truly wanted to say
“Just like last night with you.” Gabrielle looked up. her gaze meeting with Jonathan’s.
Jonathan’s large hand was tightly clenched into a fist
“What does that mean?” Arthur asked, his heart hanging in midair.
Gabrielle recounted the horrifying scenes of Jonathan’s nightmare from the previous night. Arthur’s face fell involuntarily when he heard those words. He slapped the armrest of his chair forcefully and asked, “What on earth is going on?”
“It’s a kind of sigil. When used on a person, it can trap them within it. Those words left Arthur’s heart hanging in mudair once again.
He was somewhat taken aback. He hadn’t expected that his broken leg and Jonathan’s incident of being trapped in a dream were somehow related to the act of bringing luck upon someone.
