“There’s no need for that, Liam. The hurt from before cannot be undone. I hope you can live in the present.
“You always trusted your instincts the most. So tell me, are we still mates? Do you really not know?”
Upon hearing this, Liam became even more agitated. He pulled me into his arms.
“I’m begging you. Don’t leave me. We’re fated mates. No one is more perfect for each other than us.”
I forcefully broke free from Liam’s grip and said, “How long are you going to keep lying to yourself, Liam? We are no longer
mates.

chose to drink a potion that would cut the bond without causing pain to either of us.
“And Liam, speaking of that, you should be grateful I’m a forgiving person. Otherwise, I would’ve chosen the potion that causes you unbearable pain.”
Liam still seemed trapped in denial. “You’re lying, Lily. Stop this. Come home with me.‘
I stepped back, irritated, and stood behind Zach. “Let’s at least leave each other with some dignity.”
