Tinley’s face still carried lingering anger, but when she saw the little kid plop down onto the ground, she instinctively leaned forward.

His gaze lingered on the little child for a moment before he said, “Tell Yvonne we’re leaving first.”
After speaking, he held Jeremy’s wrist and exited the emergency room door.
Jeremy didn’t want to leave, and he asked in a muffled voice, “Why don’t we say goodbye to Yvonne?”
Kelvin didn’t stop and blurted out without thinking, “I don’t want to hear you cry; it bothers me.”
“Nonsense! I won’t cry.” Jeremy immediately retorted, clearly sticking to his high–cold persona.
“Oh.”
Kelvin didn’t argue with him.
He used to be a crybaby when he was young. After being sent to school, he would cry every day when he came home, asking why he didn’t have a mother.
