Marian didn’t take the threat to heart at all
She was now the young lady of the Yates family, while Dani remained merely the head of an orphan and Yonne resided within its walls
The class gap between them was already huge.
Even if Yvonne got adopted later, the adopting family definitely wouldn’t be richer than the Yates fam
After all, the Yates family was the richest in Blorence
Once Mom and Dad are back. I’m gonna tell them about Dani coming to ask for money. Cors they won’t let her in

The servants meticulous care, Mom and Dad’s love, endless dresses and jewelry, more money than she could spend. countless envious gazes, and the spotlight.
Nina was great at raising kids, giving Marian everything a typical rich girl should have
In contrast, due to a dad who wasn’t inept at parenting Yvonne had to grow up in a wild and unruly
Not that he was completely clueless–at least Kelvin remembered Yvonne waking up at night to eat, so he had a mini–fridge stocked with snacks placed at a height kids could reach.
The moment Yvonne discovered this fridge, she was absolutely overjoyed.
With Lillian in the hospital, the house suddenly got a lot quieter.
The next morning, a sharp–dressed woman walked into Yvonne’s room at exactly 8:30.
Yvonne was already awake, hugging her blanket in a daze.
“Ma’am, hel… Seeing the stranger, she looked confused.
“Hello, Yvonne. Since Lillian’s not home these days, I’ll be taking care of you. You can call me Reena.“
The little girl, with her big, clear eyes, stared at Reena Olsen for a moment before finally understanding what she meant.
“Hi, Reena” Yvonne got out of bed and went through her usual morning routine–washing her face and brushing her teeth Reena followed her to the bathroom, initially planning to help, but Yvonne was already stepping onto her stool, squeezing toothpaste onto her brush and putting it in her mouth with ease.
She handled the whole process herself, and no help was needed at all.
After washing up, she opened the wardrobe and picked the simplest–looking dress from the row of hanging
As she was about to change, she suddenly turned around, blushing as she looked at Reena. “Reena, can you, uh, turn around
for a bit?”
Reena was caught off guard, her body reacting faster than her mind.
Chapter 17
Only after turning around did she hesitantly ask, “Miss, can you dress yourself
“Yes, yes!” Yvonne struggled to pull off her nightgown and put on the new dress she had just parked.
Then she walked over to Reena, patted her leg, and turned around. “Reena help me zip up
This was the only part of the morning where Reena felt truly involved.
After getting dressed, Yvonne went downstairs for breakfast.
She had woken up late today. Jeremy had already left for school, leaving her alone downstairs
She was equally sweet while eating, needing absolutely no help.
“Reena, have you eaten yet?” Hallway through her bucakfast, Yvonne tilted her little head and asked.
“Miss, Late before I came Reena quickly nodded.
“Alrighty,” Yvonne replied.
After breakfast, she went for a stroll in the small garden. Once the sun was up, she headed back to her room
Reena remembered how, while picking clothes, Yvonne naturally skipped past most of the flashy dresses and chose a simpler one instead.
From what she observed at the time, nine out of ten dresses in that wardrobe were over–the–top princess gowns–must be the horrible taste of Kelvin.
She figured the young lady probably didn’t fancy those elaborate dresses.
As she walked to the balcony, Yvonne was just about to call for her. “Reena, could you help me bring this pot of flowers down.”
Reena glanced at the lush jasmine and nodded, asking where she wanted it placed.
“Put it on the chair first, thanks!” Yvonne stood by the chair, wiping the dust off the leaves with a tissue carefully, one by one. making them shine.
Reena fetched a chair for her to sit on and then crouched down to help her clean the leaves. “Did you play this flower? 20 growing so well,”
Yvonne chuckled, continuing to clean the leaves.
“Oh, by the way, Yvonne, would you like to go out?”
“Can I go out?” Hearing this, Yvonne stopped her actions, looking at Reena with joy.
She’d been in an orphanage since birth, too little to have ever stepped outside.
After being taken back to the Adler family, the same deal. She didn’t even dare think about it, always feeling a bit scared of the outside world.
