“Do not pursue. Do not disturb. Fate will bring us together.”
Richard read these words out loud. Putting the content aside for a moment, just the handwriting alone earned his great approval.
“I have to say, the person’s handwriting is truly exceptional,” said Richard.

He was holding the very piece of paper that Adrien had found in the dilapidated church on Twinpeak Mountain, which had just been delivered to him from afar today.
Richard complimented it and then stroked his chin thoughtfully, saying, “I know someone who’s been practicing calligraphy for over seventy years, and he doesn’t have such powerful strokes. But Adrien said the person looked to be in his forties or fifties. It doesn’t make sense.”
While some people were naturally gifted in the area, it wa often said that handwriting reflected one’s character. The calligraphy had its unique style, unrestrained, with a flowing and elegant air. It suggested that the person was content with simplicity and detached from worldly struggles.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t choose to live in seclusion in the mountains.
Moreover, despite his obvious capabilities, he cared little for material comforts, choosing to reside in a dilapidated church deep in the mountains.
Someone with such a state of mind must have seen and experienced a great deal in life. He was bound to be older.
Furthermore, the person was so mysterious, even able to anticipate someone coming to find him and leaving the note behind. The person was truly unfathomable.
Richard’s interest was piqued. A strong intuition told him the person was not just in his fifties.
It was even possible that he was older than Richard.

Tinley held a small tin box, which was delivered with the note. It was originally a tin box for chewing gum, but it contained a pill at the moment.
Both Tinley and Richard smelled it, and the scent was familiar. They would have someone analyzed it and found out what it was made of.
As Tinley’s slender fingers traced the edge of the tin box, her eyes fell to a certain point as if she had thought of something. Her gaze froze, her eyes gradually becoming deep.
What Richard had just said had struck a chord with her, and a bold conjecture formed in her mind.
“We don’t know the upper limit of Yvonne’s ability. Since it can prolong the life of a dying person, it can delay aging or maintain eternal youth,” said Tinley.
Like Richard, she also felt the handwriting was not something a person in their forties or fifties could write.
Upon hearing that, a sharp glint flashed in Richard’s eyes.
He remembered something from his youth.
“Your words reminded me of something. When I was seventeen or eighteen, I overheard my grandfather talking to someone and learned something.”

He looked toward Tinley. His voice was soft and faint, and combined with his timbre, it gave people a mysterious feeling.
“I don’t know if it has anything to do with superpowers, but…”
Richard began slowly, speaking word by word, “Do you believe that someone in the world can live to be over five hundred years old? In comparison, wouldn’t slowing down aging be acceptable?”
Tinley’s expression didn’t change. She had long known the world had many unknown secrets. However, she frowned, probably thinking of Yvonne.
Once again, their thoughts aligned.
Richard leaned slightly toward her with a contemplative expression. “If Yvonne could live that long, shouldn’t we stock up on gold for her now?”
Unexpectedly, Tinley nodded seriously. “Yes, we should.”
“But longevity isn’t necessarily a good thing.” Richard sighed as if remembering something. “We still need to find that persón as soon as possible and ask about Yvonne’s situation.”
Then he placed the piece of paper on the table and stood up. As he was about to leave, he smiled cheerfully and informed Tinley, Yvonne’s mother.
“By the way, I’m taking Yvonne to see Laura’s engagement tomorrow. We’ll go there for fun and won’t be back tomorrow.”
Tinley gave him a speechless look.
Richard left happily after getting her reply of agreement.
He went out and purposefully sought out Yvonne, scooping her out of her pink teddy bear’s den.
He smiled like a child–snatcher. “Your mom said yes. I will come to pick you up tomorrow morning.”
Yvonne nodded obediently.
“Good girl.”
Richard stared at Yvonne for a few seconds after praising her, feeling something was wrong. After thinking for a while, he finally figured it out. He stroked the furry ears on Yvonne’s hat.
“Ask your mom to put that red furry one on you tomorrow, okay?”
Yvonne nodded obediently. “Grandpa, okay…”
Yvonne worried she would forget, so she told Tinley about it that night before going to bed.
As soon as she had laid in bed, her mind became hazy as the bed had sprinkled her with sleepy dust.
She was like a chubby, soft little yellow chick, instinctively burrowing into Tinley’s arms according to the urge of her body.
After getting in, she closed her eyes contentedly.
Yvonne suddenly opened her eyes two seconds later. She moved her head as if someone had reminded her in her mind, saying, “Mommy, I want to wear red clothes tomorrow.”
It was quite a flashback.
Then, Yvonne closed her eyes again, looking sleepy, peaceful, and content.
