“Baby, I’m sorry, okay? I’m truly sorry; I didn’t mean for this to happen.” Isadora repeatedly apologized to Asher as she tried to bring relief to his swollen, itchy skin. His body had gone from its usual colour to something else a few minutes after Katherine’s kids started touching him.
They had to move away from him when he screamed at them to leave.
“Baby, I will never do this again, I promise.” Isadora tried to touch him, but he moved away, avoiding her contact. She knew he hated physical contact with others, but what she didn’t know was that he could get like this when touched forcefully.
This was her first time witnessing it. She didn’t know he had become allergic to physical contact.
“What can I do to make you forgive me? I will do anything,” Isadora pleaded. She disliked the fact that her son wasn’t even looking at her. She was only trying to help his condition.
“I want to be alone.”
“Asher.”
“I just need to sleep it off; once you leave, I’ll go to bed.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure.”
“Okay,” Isadora said, standing up and leaving his room at his request.
“Is he okay?” Her assistant, John, immediately inquired; he had also witnessed Asher’s sudden outbreak.
“He will, hopefully,” Isadora sighed.
“He has not gotten used to me as well; you shouldn’t have done that.”
“That was stupid of me, I know. I also didn’t expect Katherine’s kids to be exactly like Katherine; I will have to explain things
to her later. She also had that look of confusion on her face before she left with her kids. But what brought you here?”
“Yes, I almost forgot. We got an unexpected proposal; actually, we got a bunch, but this one is unbelievable.”
“What is it about?”
“It’s a proposal from Brio Canto’s management; he wants to partner with you.”
“Take,” John handed the proposal to her, and she took it.
“This is great, John,” Isadora exclaimed after going through the proposal.
“Yes, Brio Canto also wishes to see you tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow?”
“Yes, he asked if it would be possible to see after tomorrow’s meeting.”
“Sure! I will meet him,” Isadora answered happily.
“I’ll send a reply to his management then. I hope everything works out; let’s discuss other deals.” John sat with her and briefed her on the numerous offers they got.

Next Day
After the day’s meeting, Isadora returned to her room to get ready for a meeting with Brio
“Mom, where are you going?”
“Asher I’m going out for a while, it’s more like a business date”
“A date? With whom?”
“With someone that I’d really love in work with”
“Okay, when will you return? Can I come along?”
“Do you want to follow me?”
“If it will ruin your date, then… Wait, no, I should stay back; I can stay with John instead?
“Asher…”
“I’m okay, Mom. I’ll stay here; just enjoy your date and get home early
“I’ll return on time,” Isadora promised him before leaving,
“You are looking so good, Ms. Isadora,”
Thank you; you look great too.”
“Not better than you,” Brio chuckled, and Isadora smiled.
“So where exactly are we going?”
“It’s a restaurant, the best restaurant in Lovestruck City, I discovered this restaurant two years ago, and I’m sure you’ll also love it. They have unique recipes and-”
“You talk like a chef would.” Isadora laughed at his display, and Brio smiled. “I can’t help it.”
“My car is parked in the lot; let me escort you.”
“Alright, let’s go.” Brio walked slightly behind her as they sauntered to the parking lot.
“Is that Isadora?” Damon stepped down from his car the moment he saw her. From where he stood, he watched as Brio opened his car door for Isadora and she got into the car.
“Sir, it’s her.” Steve followed his gaze.
“Damn, where is he taking her to?” Damon rushed towards them.
“Sir, I don’t think you should do this.” Steve came behind and whispered, but Damon ignored him.
“Come out.” Damon slapped his fist forcefully at the car’s bonnet.
“Who the hell are you? And what do you want?” Brio came down from his car to meet Damon’s fierce gale,

“Excuse me?” Brio’s eyes widened in surprise, and he turned to look at Isadora, Isadora slowly came down from the car; she had a frustrated look on her face. She also looked tired.
Maybe she is tired of the man creating so many problems for her.
“Mr. Brio I’m so sorry; please ignore him and start the car,” Isadora pleaded with Brio, and he did just that,
She glared at Damon but didn’t bother saying a word to him. Speaking to him was a total waste of time. She knew it!
Why was he acting like a control freak?
“Sir, please.” Steve moved him out of the way so Brio could drive out of the lot.
“Who is that bastard?” Damon finally found his tongue after they left.
“Mr. Brio Canto, he is also here as a top chef; he holds the position of the most…”
“Stop, I don’t want to hear more about that bastard; how dare he glare at me that way?”
“Sir, you shouldn’t be doing this; if you want ma’am to forgive you and come back to you, then you’ll have to stop acting like this,” Steve advised, but of course, Damon wasn’t going to listen.
Damon waited in the parking lot for hours, calmly waiting for Isadora’s return. When it was past 9:00 p.m. and she still hadn’t returned, he left the lot and went straight to her room.
He rang the bell and knocked on the door before getting an answer. The answer he had been waiting for.
“Who is there?” The voice of a young boy sounded behind the closed doors.
“Mom? Is that you?”
