Chapter 14
Third Person’s Narrative;
His moans were the first things that made her to know that his was awake. Then came the ruffling
ruffling sound, and finally, his voice.
She had just finished having her bath and was combing tangles out of her wet hair when he spoke.
“What happened? And why am I on the floor? “He questioned, and Celine turned around to find Aiden massaging his sore
neck.
She had left him to sleep on the bare gonund. She could have struggled to put him on his bed, but she didn’t fancy the idea of sharing a bed with him. Also, many times before, he had left her to sleep on the cold hard ground of many cellers,
He hadn’t done it in this life, but he had done it in the past, and it only seemed befitting to give him a taste of what he had once done to her.
“I should be asking you. You passed out last night. “She simply replied, and he quickly picked himself off the floor and he stared at her in confusion.
“What? “He questioned, and Celine ignored him as she turned back to the mirror to keep combing her hair.
She froze when she saw the hickey that Aiden had created the night before, on the side of her neck.
Something about the purplish mark enraged and irritated her, and she wished she could wipe it of.
“Arila… “She called in her mind, begging Arila to cure the mark and make it vanish, but Arila’s reply left her pissed.
*There’s nothing I can do about it, celine. It was put there by our alpha and mate. It was a way of temporarily marking us. You’re going to have to use make up to hide that for a few days.
“A few days!? “She thought with wide eyes and Aiden’s voice cut her thoughts short.
“Are you even listening to me? “He raged, and Celine came back to earth.
“Huh? “She turned to him in confusion, and he glared at her.
“I asked what you did to me last night. How did you get me unconscious? “He questioned, and Celine raised brow.
“What did I do to you? Have you forgotten that you had maids dress me up and search me specifically so I wouldn’t be able to do anything? “She questioned, and Aiden fell silent as he thought.
That was true. Celine couldn’t do anything to him. He made sure of that. Carla couldn’t do anything to him either. He didn’t touch her the entire night, and after their argument, he didn’t lay eyes on her for the rest of the night. All he did was sign a few papers that Ace brought to him. So, what happened?
Celine stared at him lost in thought for a few seconds but in her heart, she was glad. Glad that Aiden hadn’t touched her. She didn’t know how, but somehow, she had won. She was victorious without having to lift a finger. She didn’t care much how it happened. She was just glad that it did.
So, finally, she spoke.
“The deal was that I spend an entire night with you, and not for one second in the entirety of last night did I leave this room. Your guards outside can testify to that. I have served my punishment, and I believe I’m free to go now. “She spoke, and Aiden’s eyes widened.
“What? That doesn’t count. I was knocked out.” He spoke, and Celine rolled her eyes.
“How is that my business? You said my punishment was “to spend a night with you. “I did that. So, I’m free to go now. “She said, and Aiden glared at her.
“You know that’s not what I meant!”
“Then clearly what you meant, and what you said are two different things. I can hold you to what you said and not what you meant. My punishment was to spend a night with you, Aiden. I’ve done that. Be a respectable Alpha and honor your words will

you? “She replied, and Aiden froze.
“If you’ll excuse me, I think I’ve spent more than enough time with you. “She replied before walking past him, but Aiden did not miss the hickey on her neck. Nothing may have happened between them the night before, but seeing that Hickey on her neck pleased him. Anyone who saw it would know he did it and just the thought of people knowing that Celine was his to mark, did something to him.
As Celine stepped out of Aiden’s room, she was beaming with victorious smiles and joy. However, as she made it through a corner, her smile vanished as she came face to face with Carla.
“What are you smiling about? “Carla spat and Celine looked her cousin over.
She could see the jealousy and envy bubbling over in Carla, and it heightened her joy. She knew that she would never let anything happen between herself and Aiden but knowing that the mere thought of it enraged Carla, made her want to pull a few dubious strings.
“I just spent a night with my mate. Shouldn’t I be smiling? “She replied, and Carla’s mind almost exploded on hearing those words. They were words she dreaded. Words that scared her. She somehow hoped and wished that nothing would happen between Aiden and Celine but Celine’s words just sent her over the edge.
What do you mean by that!? “Carla growled and Celine smirked.
“What do you think? “She questioned and she smiled at her cousin, and the smug smile made Carla furious.
“What do you think happens when two adults… Two fated werewolves… Spend and entire night together behind closed doors? “She questioned, and Carla turned red with jealousy.

“I may not like Aiden very much, but I guess there are a few features to him a woman can’t help but love. “She replied. Skilfully picking her words to dance on the very last strings of patience she knew her cousin was managing
“You… “Carla began, but Celine cut her off.
“Please… I need my rest. I had a rather… busy night.” She replied, and Carla saw red. Just before Celine left, she flipped her hair off her shoulder so Carla would see the love bite Aiden left, and oh. Carla saw it. She saw it and grew weak in the knees.
As she watched Celine walk away, she felt angry tears fill her eyes as she clenched her fists. She was enraged. Devastated… Pissed. Her ego was wounded and she felt… Challenged
All along, for the past two years, she was always on top of celine. She made sure of it. But now… It was begining to look like the playing field was being leveled
It was as if she was no longer in control. Celine was rising. Something had changed about her and it worried Carla. Celine who used to be okay with anything Carla threw at her was suddenly clamouring for power. It scared her, and it also enraged her. She wouldn’t let it happen.
Years ago, she knew Celine had a masisve crush on Aiden. She knew there was a spark between Aiden and Celine. So, even before her parents turned Celine into an orphan, she had began to work her way into Celine and Aiden’s friendship
She devoted her life to stealing Aiden away from Celine just so she would be Luna. She devoted her life to learning and playing with Aiden’s mind and she was not about to loose all that. She was not about to loose a game she had been playing since she was 10 years old.
No!! She wouldn’t go down so easily.
She scuffed and she watched her cousin’s frame stride away in the distance.
“Before, I kept you caged cause you were clamouring to fly. Now, you’re getting louder. I can’t stand it. I will clip your wings.
I will remind you of where you belong. I will cause a rift between you and Aiden. I have done it so many times, and I will do it again.
I will not let you rise. I will not let you get Aiden. I will not let you be Luna. Aiden is mine. Mine alone.
