Chapter 3

My words rang through the hall and murmurs erupted in the hall as I watched as Aiden’s face scrunch up in pain.

This was only a bit of the pain I planned to cause him, and I was so pleased to see it. Rejecting the mate bond like that also caused me physical pain. But compared to all the hurt and torments Aiden and Carla put me through in my past life, this felt like nothing.

Aiden glared at me and I saw his pupils begin to change to red as he raged.

“How dare you!? “He yelled as he raised his hand to hit me in front of the entire pack, but someone suddenly pulled me behind them and stepped between Aiden and me.

It was Ace. Aiden’s Beta and his older stepbrother.

“What do you think you’re doing? This is not how to solve the matter. “Ace inputted, and Aiden glared at his brother.

They stared at each other in silence, and it was obvious that they were having a full–on conversation through a mind link.

Aiden suddenly turned to the people and without saying a word to them, they began to disperse. I realized that he had dismissed them through a mind link, and once again I felt like an outsider. I had been reduced to an Omega, so I didn’t have access to the mind link. They shut me out in every way they could.

When the room was free of commoners, and it was just Aiden, I, Ace, Carla, the elders and the guards, Aiden pushed Ace away

“That stunt you pulled here today, would not go unpunished! You dared to reject me!? Me!! I will teach you such a lesson you will regret ever doing that or even the day the thought formed in your mind! “He growled, and I simply stared back into his eyes refusing to show any fear.

The old Celine was soft, weak, and afraid of him. Not anymore. The old Celine would have broken and begged for mercy. But not this one. I came back to make his life hell. To take revenge and get justice. I came back to take vengeance on those who hurt me, to get back all 1 lost and to free my parent’s name. So, Aiden threats meant nothing to me.

“Go. Lock her up in her room and give her no access to food or water until I say so. “He demanded, and Ace nodded as he walked up to me. I didn’t say a word as Ace grabbed my wrist. I simply held my chin up and walked behind Ace as he led the way. I was proud of what I had done, and I was only just beginning.

Everyone in this pack always fears and respects the prophecies the elders bring. What happens now that I’ve rejected their precious king and have refused to marry him? What happens to their sacred prophecy?

As Ace got me to my room, I walked in silently but turned back to look at him when I realized that he was hesitant to leave. I stared at him in silence, and he finally spoke.

“What you did back there… It was pretty bold. I’d like to see more of that Celine. You deserve to set a few ground rules: “He spoke, and with that, he walked out. I listened to him lock the door behind him, and a small crept unto my face.

Ace Silverstone…

Aiden’s father had a wife and a concubine. His concubine gave birth to Ace two years before Aiden’s mother could conceive. When Aiden was born, he was crowned king over Ace because he was the legitimate heir to the throne and Ace was just the child of a concubine.

However, Ace never for once acted bitterly towards Aiden. He’s Aiden’s Beta and treats his brother with love. In my last life, Ace was the only one who was nice to me. He was kind and always wanted to know if I was okay. However, two years into my marriage with Aiden, Ace just… Disappeared. Vanished. I never knew what happened to him. But I guess I have a chance to find out now. That would be at the bottom of my list, though, as I have bigger things on my plate.

I stayed in my room all day and true to Aiden’s command, no food or water was brought to me. It was late at night, and sleep was beckoning unto me when suddenly, my door was flung open.

I sat up in my bed and I stared at who just barged in, and it was Aiden. He had his shoulder–length black hair in a loose ponytail, and he looked furious.

As he shut the door behind him, the hairs on my skin rose as I knew what was coming next. It was the same as five years ago,

So, I got off my bed and took hold of a flower vase.

“How dare you!? “He growled as he began to approach me, and 1 began searching for the nearest i

t exist.

“You! A common omega! Outcast of the pack that nobody wants. How dare you reject me!? “He growled as he began to close in on me, and I tightened my grip on the vase in my hands.

“Don’t come any closer, or I’ll hurt you! “I warned, but he ignored my words. With lightning–fast speed, he was just about two steps away from me. In fright, I tried to hit him with the vase, but he blocked it with his arm. The vase broke into pieces, and I was left defenceless as Aiden pinned me to the wall.

“Why did you do it? Why did you reject me? “He questioned as he studied my face and only then did I realize how deeply his ego was hurt. I rejected the precious, golden king. It pleased me.

“Because I don’t want to be with you. I’d rather diel “I replied to add salt to his wounds and he growled at my words, but I refused to be intimidated.

“Why!?” He raged further, and I stared into his eyes. Eyes I once used to adore, but now only feel hate as I stare into them.

“Because I hate you! I made a mistake falling for you. It was the biggest mistake of my life! You are narrow–minded, foolish, and easy to manipulate. You are so full of yourself when in actuality, you aren’t even all that! “I replied, and he suddenly wrapped his fingers around my neck as he glared at me.

He stared at me for a few seconds and then took his hands away from me. Suddenly, he grabbed me and threw me on my bed.

“I don’t care what you think, Omega! Do you think I care?! You do not get to reject me! You have no say! You are my mate, in my palace, and my pack! You are my property whether you like it or not! “He growled as he slowly approached my bed, and I scoffed.

“I am not a thing you can own, Aiden! Not anymore. “I replied. Adding the last part under my breath, and Aiden glared at me.

“We’ll see about that! “He roared as he began to unbuckle his pants, and my heart dropped into my stomach. Five years ago, that is exactly what he did. After our marriage, he barged into my room and stole my virginity from me on the cold floor like I was some dog. He left me battered and too wounded to move. I couldn’t let that happen again.

I quickly rushed off my bed and picked up a long piece of the broken flower vase.

“I swear, if you come near me, I will kill myself and then there will be no redemption for your precious pack! “I warned as I held out the piece, and he scoffed as he took off his shirt.

“Really? You’d kill yourself? You don’t have the guts! “He mocked as he started walking towards me, and I gulped,

“I’m not joking! You need me to keep your pack safe. If you take one more step, I will kill myself! “I yelled, and he stared at me for a second.

I know this is risky, but I will do anything to keep his filthy hands off me. I won’t let him break me again. I won’t let him touch me. Moreover, he won’t let me die. He can’t. He needs me for his pack. To fulfil the stupid prophecy.

“Bluff! “He remarked as he tried to move towards me.

“Aiden! “I warned, but he didn’t listen. As he made to move towards me, I knew he’d use his speed as Alpha to overpower me, and I wasn’t going to risk it. Without giving any further warning or thought, I plunged the sharp, ceramic piece into my stomach and Aiden’s scream reached my ears.
