A few days later, I was due to board my flight
overseas.
Mark found me as I was packing.
I opened the door, to see his pale and tired
face.

His voice shook, he reached out to grab me,
but I avoided him.
I frowned, my mouth twitching, “What do you

The memories flashed by. When I was in the
car accident, lying on the ground, I called him,
and he didn’t believe me, and hung up on me.
The guy on the phone must have heard that I
was silent, and asked, “Hello? Hello? Did you
hear me? What I just told you?”
I smiled faintly, and answered coldly, “We’re
divorced, you should call someone else.”
After hanging up, I turned my phone off, and
boarded the plane.

I heard later that Mark had survived, but had
lost his legs, and would be in a wheelchair for
the rest of his life.
My girlfriends told me that the reason he was
in the accident, was because Amber was
bitter after Mark broke up with her, and had
cut the brake lines on all of his cars.
Amber’s actions had caused a major injury to
the heir of the Xu family, she had no future
ahead of her.
But I had already started my new life, and I
was happy.
