Chapter c
Serena rubbed her wrist and slowly stood up.
Gritting her teeth, she straddled Shawn without hesitation.
Shawn’s eyes lit up with surprise. “Well, well, I didn’t expect you to be so bold. I like it.”
Suppressing her disgust, Serena reached out to unbutton Shawn’s shirt. He leaned back slightly against the couch, his breathing
unsteady, and squinted at her.
“Hurry up!”
Serena’s gaze turned icy. Her hand slowly reached for the side table where an ashtray was placed.
The moment she grabbed the ashtray, she swung it down hard toward Shawn without hesitation.
But just as the ashtray was about to strike him, a sudden force yanked her away. Serena’s hand slipped, and the ashtray struck
Shawn’s shoulder instead.
As she tried to get up from the ground, Shawn forcefully stomped on her hand with a streak of madness in his eyes.
“Damn it! I knew you were up to no good, but I didn’t think you’d have the guts to attack me!”
Enraged, he kicked Serena hard in the stomach.
She groaned. It felt as though her ribs might break.
The next second, he yanked her hair, forcing her head up.
His face twisted with rage,
“I didn’t want to get rough with you, but you brought this on yourself, you bitch! Both Justin and Wilson had slept with you, so
why can’t I?”
Serena gritted her teeth. “You think everyone is as filthy as you?”
Shawn sneered. “Oh, are you calling me filthy? You were already weak in the knees after Wilson gave you those looks all night. Why are you acting like you’re chaste?”
Shawn grabbed her and threw her onto the bed.
Taking off his shirt, he snickered. “Let’s see what’s so special about you. I can’t believe you made Wilson break his rules for you!”
The thought of taking Wilson’s woman made Shawn wild with excitement. He loomed over her, ready to pounce, but Serena
screamed. She suddenly bit down hard on his shoulder.
Shawn let out a cry of pain and jumped back. Blood oozed from his shoulder, and his expression turned murderous.

“You bitch!”
He slapped Serena hard across the face. Her cheek swelled instantly.
Still unsatisfied, Shawn pulled off his belt and whipped her repeatedly. After venting his rage, he grabbed her chin tightly.
“Have you learned your lesson now?”
Serena looked at him, her eyes cold as ice. “Shawn, you’d better kill me tonight. If not, I swear I’ll make you pay for this.”
Shawn was furious and laughed mockingly. “How are you gonna make me pay? Are you planning to run to Wilson to get your revenge? Forget it. He’ll never know I was the one who took you away. When I’m done with you, I’ll sell you abroad. You’re mine
until dawn.”
Each word pierced deeper into Serena’s heart.
With a sneer, Shawn tugged at her dress. The fabric tore at the shoulder, revealing her fair skin. His eyes glearned with
excitement as he leaned closer.
Just then, Serena began murmuring something under her breath.
Shawn barely made out the faint words. He leaned in closer.
“Mr. Quade…”
Serena tilted her head, tears streaming uncontrollably.
Suddenly, she shouted with all her strength, “Wilson Quade!”
Wilson abruptly stopped in his tracks in the hotel elevator. He turned to Jacob, who was beside him. “Did you hear that?”
“Huh?”
“Serena…” Wilson’s eyes flickered with an unusual excitement. “Serena’s calling for
me.”
