Chapter 59
Jacob listened intently, but he heard nothing.
“Wilson, I know you’re worried, but be prepared. If Shawn didn’t take Serena away, we’ll need to calm down and look for new
leads.”
Wilson found traces of Shawn in the security footage in the hall. After the event ended, he saw Shawn driving out of the parking
lot
Shawn left with his plus–one. The bodyguard behind him was carrying a huge black luggage.
Shawn didn’t drive far. He found a five–star hotel nearby and immediately checked in.
There was a possibility of Serena being stuffed into that luggage, but it wasn’t confirmed.
Wilson shoved Justin’s hand away and spoke with conviction, “Serena’s calling for me.”
He quickened his pace, heading straight to the presidential suite where Shawn was staying.
Outside the suite, two bodyguards stood watch. They froze for a moment when they saw Wilson.
“Hi, Mr. Quade.”
“Open up,” ordered Wilson unfeelingly.
The two guards hesitated, clearly nervous, but one mustered the courage to say, “Apologies, Mr. Quade, but Mr. Jenkins has
already retired for the night. Perhaps you could come back tomorrow if you need something.”
Wilson sneered and stepped forward.
The guards moved to block him, but Wilson’s bodyguards swiftly subdued them.
Wilson raised his leg and delivered a heavy kick to the door, sending tremors through the presidential suite.
Shawn, ready to assault Serena, froze in the bedroom.
“Who is it?” He quickly walked to the door and looked through the peephole.
Shawn felt all the blood in his body freeze the moment he saw Wilson. He turned slowly, his expression paler than that of a ghost.
His gaze landed on Serena, who sat disheveled by the bed.
“Guess who’s outside?”
He strode over and grabbed a handful of her hair.
Serena opened her eyes and stared into his, her gaze dripping with hatred.
Shawn let out an evil cackle. “It’s Wilson! Haha! You really called him here, didn’t you?”

His eyes burned with desperation and madness. “How the hell did he find me? How did he even suspect me? How did he find me so damn fast?”
Serena watched his crazed outburst, her own eyes growing brighter.
Wilson was here. He had come to save her.
“What’s with that look? Think you’re saved?” Shawn suddenly leaned in, his gaze gleaming darkly. “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure to have my fun before he gets in here.”
He sneered, his hand reaching for her clothes.
“That door is solid. By the time Wilson breaks in, we’ll b be done here.”
As he spoke, he tugged at her clothing.
Serena screamed, “Get off me! Let me go! Let me go!”
“Shout all you want! Go on, shout louder! Wilson is right outside. Call for him!” Shawn’s eyes were crazed.
Outside, Jacob turned to Justin. He gasped, “I think that’s really Serena!”
“Get off her!” Wilson’s eyes were colored with fury as he delivered another hard kick to the door.
The well–sealed door seemed to give slightly under the force.
Justin held him back. “Wilson, the hotel manager is bringing the key. They’ll be here in two minutes.”
“Move aside!”
Wilson grabbed a gun from his bodyguard Kayden, attached a silencer, and aimed at the door lock.
The lock gave way after a muffled pop, and Wilson kicked the door open.
