Dugan shook his head and stepped aside..
“No.”
“Ms. Chavez, Mr. Chadwick was in a meeting. Why don’t you wait in his office? I’ll make you a cup of tea.”
He led Vanessie to the office in Bergen as he spoke, reaching out to open the door.
Vanessie looked away and walked back to her office.
“No need, I wait for him in my office.”
Her office was right next to the office in Bergen.
Kelly and Bergen have been in and out together recently, and who knows what they’ve been up to in his office.
She thought it was dirty.
Dugan Dugan stood on the side, with a few drops of cold sweat on his forehead

Vanessie didn’t look as he reached out to grab the handle of his office door, entered his fingerprint to unlock it, but was told fingerprint error

Dugan hung his head and didn’t dare to breathe.
Vanessie just realized someone changed the fingerprint password and even deleted her fingerprint.
The administrator of this password lock was Bergen. Only with his approval could the fingerprint be changed.

‘Ms. Campbell was in a meeting with Mr. Chadwick as his secretary.”
“Ms. Chavez, why don’t you go wait in Mr. Chadwick’s office first?”

It seems like Kelly got fired by Fluxwave Group, and Bergen immediately arranged for her to join the company, even giving her the office of the vice president
Vanessie sneered and looked at Dugan mockingly.
“You helped him hide it so well in front of me, and he didn’t give you the best attention and treatment. How could a newcomer in the workplace just starting out take away your position?”
Dugan was stunned for a moment, then awkwardly hung his head in shame.
He should have realized long ago that Vanessie couldn’t possibly know nothing.
“Sorry, Ms. Chavez.”
Dugan apologized quietly, Vanessie didn’t look at him again, turned and walked towards the meeting room.
In the meeting room, Kelly took Dugan’s place, sat on Bergen’s right side, and took meeting notes
She was wearing a black professional suit, the skirt was shortened a bit, paired with black stockings
Bergen listened to the department heads report their work with a serious expression, while Kelly, feeling mischievous, deliberately used her toes to tease the man with a stern face.
The man furrowed his brows slightly, glanced at her sideways, with a warning in his eyes, but more of indulgence.
When Vanessie walked in, Kelly quickly pulled her feet back and hit the table leg hard, causing the conference table to move slightly.

The people in the meeting room were all professionals. Kelly made such a move, looking embarrassed, and everyone knew what was going on.
Everyone was waiting for Vanessie to explode, but she just smiled, gave Kelly a look.
“Is Ms. Campbell’s foot okay?”
Kelly blushed immediately and couldn’t look Vanessie in the eye.
“No… no problem.”
Vanessie raised an eyebrow and said quietly.
I thought you had a sore foot, so I put it on Mr. Chadwick to ask him to give you a massage”
Kelly hung her head, full of shame and humiliation
Bergen furrowed his brow and spoke in a deep voice.
“Vanessie….
Vanessie glanced at him sideways, interrupting with a smirk
“What, you want to help her massage her feet?”
Bergen gor stabbed by her, and she got pissed.
“Don’t make a fuss, we were having a meeting, you go to the office and wait for me first.”
Vanessie looked away, took a step towards the empty seat across from Bergen, and said leisurely.
“As an original shareholder of the company and also the vice president, is there any meeting that I can’t attend?”
“Mr. Chadwick didn’t think we were getting married right away, did he? Venberg Group will be your company alone, right?”
As her words fell, the atmosphere in the office seemed to drop to freezing point, everyone lowered their heads and pretended to be busy flipping through documents, not daring to look at any of them.
Bergen had a cold face as he confronted her, but Vanessie just smiled at him, unfazed, and calmly said.
“I came today because of issues with Fluxwave Group. The project was halfway through, but suddenly withdrawing funding will have an impact
on both Fluxwave Group and Venberg Group. I don’t want anyone to act on personal emocions, disregarding the overall situation of the company and causing millions in losses.”
Vanessie looked at all the managers and said,
“Everyone should think for the benefit of the company.”
Everyone kept their heads down very low, and no one made a move.
Bergen sat at the head of the table, playing with his wedding ring, and quietly said, “Meeting adjourned.”
Once he said that, everyone got up and left, as if running away.
In the meeting room, soon it was just her, Bergen, and Kelly,
Kelly got up on her own initiative and said obediently and sensibly,
“I went to make cup of tea for Vanessie.”
Vanessie didn’t look at her, she stared at Bergen with a fierce expression.
She only left the company for half a year, now everyone at Venberg Group just follows Bergen’s orders
I guess she felt like no matter how capable she was, she couldn’t surpass the mountain of Bergen. She would be like other married noble ladies, putting her husband fine.
Bergen saw Vanessie’s expression change, got up from his seat, walked over to her, and leaned on the conference table in front of her with one hand, his tall figure looming over her.

Vanessie looked at the man who approached her, her eyes cold.
“Mr. Chadwick, there were no mistakes on Fluxwave Group’s part in this collaboration. We both understand the reasons you insist on withdrawing your investment.”
Bergen’s eyes darkened.
“Vanessie, so you admit that you had contact with Natalie early on, deliberately targeting Kelly to make her lose her job?”
Vanessie sneered.
“You said you had no relationship with her. If there’s no relationship, is she worth all this trouble for me? Or is it that you two actually have some shady dealings?”
With her status and position, there were plenty of people trying to please her. She didn’t need to do anything, so naturally there were people making things difficult for Kelly.
Bergen furrowed his brow, with a mysterious look in his eyes.
After a few seconds, he said softly.
“What’s the relationship between me and her? I just felt sorry for her being bullied at work right after she started, which reminded me of you back then, so I brought her into the company. If you don’t like her, I can ask her to leave anytime.”
At the meeting room door, there was the sound of a teacup breaking Kelly’s hand got burned by the hot tea and turned red. She gasped for breath, looking at Bergen with eyes as red as a wounded bunny.
Bergen’s worried gaze immediately looked over, even his steps tilted that way, but he stopped after taking a step, a hint of restraint flashing in his eyes.
A man who has changed his heart, every little detail is a trace.
How confident was Bergen to believe his clumsy lies?
