Chapter 11
Upon noticing the Johnsons‘ attention on me, Tina bit her lip before grabbing Henry’s arm and tugging. She said, “I know I messed up this time, and I finally understand how much Kiara has suffered, Dad. Can you please talk to Kiara and ask her not to hold a grudge against you and Mom? I just want us all to be a happy family again.”
Yet, this time, her attempt to sow discord didn’t succeed.
Karen slapped her hard across the face and bellowed, “You bitch! I finally see it now. This is all your doing! If you hadn’t stirred up conflict, Kiara wouldn’t have endured such a miserable life for all these years!”
Tina’s eyes widened in disbelief as she exclaimed, “Dad! Liam! Has Mom lost her mind?”
Henry and Liam, however, paid her no mind at that moment.
Henry looked at me and said, “I truly realize my mistake this time, Kiara. Can you please come home so that I can make
everything up to you?”
Liam nodded repeatedly, saying, “I had been deceived by Tina all along. I’ll send her back to the countryside to be with the White family. How does that sound?
