I shook my head and replied, “I’m not satisfied with it. You might now see how Tina nearly killed me, plotted against me, and
tormented me, but you’ll never restore the version of me that once loved you all so deeply.
“I only came here today to inform you guys that our familial relationship is irrevocably severed. I’ll no longer come back to the Johnson residence, nor will I concern myself with the Johnsons‘ matters. If you believe you are indebted to me, the very
best thing you can do is stay out of my life.”
Karen instantly burst into tears after hearing my statement, while Tina had slipped away unnoticed.
I had already grown accustomed to it over time, though, so I no longer held any regard for any of them.
Liam tried to stop me, but in the end, he sheepishly released his grip after meeting my gaze.
Having left the Johnson residence, I found Zachary waiting for me by the entrance. I comfortably took my place in the back seat of his car and set off to visit Ms. Zimmerman, whose health had begun to show signs of recovery. She welcomed me into her home with open arms, and I happily embraced her in return.
I heard that Tina, on the other hand, had fled all the way back to the White family in the countryside overnight.

Yet, the Johnson family, proving not to be easily deceived, swiftly initiated legal action against Tina for the return of her ill- gotten gains and pursued the White family for a refund of all the money they had disbursed over the years.
In the end, none of that mattered to me ever again.
