Chapter 50
EMMA
At the noise of another knock, I meet Will’s eyes before rushing out of bed. I don’t have the time to think that I’m naked or to be flustered when Will’s heated gaze follows me as I stride to my closet I reach for the first big shirt I see and throw it over my head, then pull the drawer to grab my panties.
When I turn back, Will is still staring at me with an elbow pressing into the mattress as I drag the panties up my legs and I cock my head. “What are you doing?”
“What?” He whispers, a small smile dancing by the corners of his mouth and I shake my head before straightening my back 1 look to the door and turn back to him and when the person outside knocks again, I gesture for Will to hide under the duvet before sauntering across the room
I place a hand on my chest and exhale a few times before grabbing the knob. My heart thunders in my chest as I twist the knob and the door opens. the creaking sound echoing around.
“Thought you’d never get up. Ryan is the one standing by my door and he greets me with a smile. I press my body to the doorframe and grab the edge, my brows raised at him. “Hey. What are you what are you doing here?”
When his eyes dart from me, his gaze rolling over my shoulder; I clear my throat and push forward, yanking the door closer, and when Ryan’s eyes fall back on mine, he smirks. “What are you doing?”
I feign ignorance and furrow a brow. “I don’t know. That’s what I should be asking you. Why are you at my door? Do you need something?”
-Step back” He unters instead of answering my queries and I frown. “Why?”
He sighs as he slips his hands into his pockets and lifts his shoulders. “Cause you’re fooling no one. I know he’s in there”
1 blink repeatedly at him and my nails scratch the wooden door as I swallow, “I don’t know what are you-
“Darling. I know the Alpha is in there; you smell of him and I could hear your voices. Did you forget I’m a wolf?” He grins as he wriggles his brows at me, and despite being caught red–handed, I still shake my head. “Why’d you think—”
Ryan doesn’t let me finish my words, and my jaw drops as his voice cuts through mine. “Because you’re fucking and you do such a terrible job at hiding it.” My mouth is still open, and I remain frozen to my feet as Ryan tugs me to the side gently. He pushes through the entrance and waltzes in without an invitation while I remain on the spot and it isn’t until I hear his laughter I finally snap out of it and shut the door before anyone else comes along the hallway.
Will is out of bed when I turn to them and he’s dragging his pants up his legs while Ryan is standing near my closet with his arms crossed to his chest. Will’s eyes meet mine before his gaze shifts to Ryan and he asks, “What’s it?”

“And why the fuck are you up so early? It’s barely even dawn.” Will hisses as he grubs his shirt off the floor and Ryan laughs loudly–almost mockingly” “It’s Sam, Alpha So it is dawn. Why? Are you mad you got caught? You wanted to keep this a secret from me? You should have known better.” Ryan’s eyes are glistening with a wicked glint as he looks at the two of us.

I can tell Ryan is getting a kick out of taunting us and while I stand by the door, cheeks heated from his teasing, I know Will isn’t enjoying it one bit by the scowl on his face and my chest drops when he fixes the last button on his shirt.

“What did you come here for? To watcha”
“Shut the fuck up” Will shoves Hyan forward, and he throws me a wink as he steps out of the room. Will follows, and he’s almost out of the door when he turns to me. My heart skips a beat when our eyes maret and when his lips curl, a gorgeous smile covering his face; I lose my goddamın berath and everything else just fades away.

Chapter 30
“I have to go,” Will tells me and I nod as I step towards him, shuffling several feet forward until I’m standing before him. “Thank you. That was that was. I don’t—”
“I hope you’ll be able to close your legs later. Without allowing me to react to his joke, he grabs me; a hand wrapping around my waist to yank me to him. His breath fans my face as he leans in, then he takes my mouth, giving me a taste of his lips one last time. When he starts to push away, 1 grasp onto the front of his shirt, deepening the kiss and unwilling to let go of him.
Eventually, I do because he has to leave. But also because Ryan whistles loudly behind the door, as though he can tell what we’re doing.
My cheeks are reddened when I pull back to look into Will’s eyes and his hand falls from my waist. He caresses my shoulder before he finally leaves the room and as the door shut: I pull my bottom lip between my teeth, unable to help my grin and how fast my heart is beating.
A soft sigh leaves my mouth, and a giggle slips through my parted lips as I walk to my bed. I jump on the mattress and fall on the side Will slept on I wrap myself around the duvet and I kick the legs dangling off the feet of the bed, helpless with the tingling feeling in my chest.
11 feels so surreal. Being with him. Being called those names. Kissing him. Sleeping together–both meanings.
I grab the pillow and push my face into it to muffle my scream.
I’m happy. So fucking happy that I might burst from the excitement swirling through me.
I walk into the training grounds with a huge ass grin on my face. I haven’t been able to wipe it off my bed before I had to come down

“Hey!” I chuckle as I push her shoulder, “Nothing happened. I just feel good about today.”
Her brow raises. “Yeah!”
I hum and as Bianca opens her mouth to say something else, Elijah appears and wraps his arms around me. He lifts me off my feet in a hug and it lasts for seconds before he lets me down, his hand dropping on my shoulder as he presses his lips to my cheek. When he pulls back, he says, “Morning, sweetheart. You look like you’re in a good mood.”
“Morning” I respond and I swallow the rest of my words as Ryan walks into the fields. He tells us to grab our weapons, so I snatch my daggers and throw my friends a smile before we separate to our teams
“Alright. Today, we’re having a match. Cheers erupt in the air at Ryan’s announcement, and the benches are smacked as the warriors jump in

“You’ve been training against those with the same weapons, but now we’ll switch it up. You’ll be going against each other–different weapons. For the first match: Elijah and Leo
We clap as they step out of the lines onto the center, and Elijah meets my eyes as he flexes his rod. I jerk my head, a small laugh escaping me as I cross my arms to my chest.
“Lea seems confident,” Bianca mutters as she walks to my side. “God. He’s hot”

“Shh.” She presses a finger to her mouth, eyes dancing around to check if anyone is listening to our conversation and when she confirms they’re all focused on the match, she turns back to me. “Can’t blame me. He makes it hard not to. I mean, he has these eyes and the way he speaks when he eventually does. His voice is just…”
“You have a crush on him,” I say, and Bianca is quick to shake her head. “No, I don’t. I want him. There’s a difference.”
“Sure there is.” I chuckle and she slaps my arm. “There is! I don’t need him to like me or anything. I just want a plece. Maybe if we fuck, then I’d.”
Bianca’s voice trails off, fading into the distance as my eyes catch his. He’s walking towards the pack house with lan to his right and another man to his left. When our gazes lock, I expect him to look away the way he usually does, but he doesn’t.
He smiles–Will smiles at me and, as if that isn’t enough, his eyes drag down my body before they fall back on mine and then he looks away.
I gup as I watch him enter the pack house and it isn’t until Blanca shakes me I realize where I am.
“Emma” Em, you okay?” Bianca looks worried, but it isn’t her question I’m thinking about as I shake my head
No. No. Im not okay.
I think. Goddess. I’m falling. I think I’m falling in love with him–I might be falling in love with my stepbrother.
