Gerard quickly came over and then slapped Herminie hard.
“What happened? Why did it come loose?”
Herminie’s cheek was swollen from the hit. She shook her head wildly and cried,
don’t know. It wasn’t me. I have no idea why the needle came loose… It was her fault. She didn’t press it properly on purpose and made it fall off!”

Between Herminie and me, Gerard finally decided to trust me.

I just shook my head and sighed, then pushed the special tool back into his skin, making him scream again.
“The needle just fell out. It has to stay in for three hoùrs again. You two stay on the sidelines and don’t mess up anymore.”
I looked over at Edwin. All this torture had made his body much smaller,
almost like a child’s.
But his skin looked as old as a man in his sixties or seventies, which was
very strange.

Edwin looked at me with tears nearly dried up, begging for help.

Under Gerard’s pressure, Herminie couldn’t stand the pain anymore and finally told the truth.

Gerard was furious and almost wanted to kill her. “You filthy woman, do you realize how much trouble you’ve caused our family?”
He kicked her hard. Herminie cried out and hit her head on the wall with a painful groan.
“That’s right, I’m doing this on purpose, making Edwin suffer. So what? Since
you treated me this way, I’ll get my revenge! Hahaha!”
She coughed up blood and laughed wildly as she spoke.
“Crazy woman,” I said coldly, turning away.

This was her fault alone, and she had no one else to blame.
Suddenly, Suzanne let out a scream.
“Agnes, hurry! Edwin is foaming at the mouth!”
I walked over slowly and saw that Edwin’s face was pale and his body was trembling slightly.
I reached out and slapped him several times hard, not stopping until he regained consciousness.
“Just a few slaps can fix this. Why make such a big deal?”
Then I told Suzanna, “If he goes into shock again, just slap him a few times. No need to bother me.”
Suzanne wanted to say something, but in the end, she stayed silent, feeling disappointed.
