David sat behind his large desk, surrounded by shelves full of files and financial reports.
His eyes stared intently at the computer screen, but his thoughts were far away. His fingers tapped lightly on his expensive marble desk

He was anxious. This was all because of Jenna. His fiancée suddenly called him and talked about her hotel and he had to pay
Okay, David admined that since he and Jenna were together, after Skylar left and Jenna was given the task of leading and managing The Carter
Summer hotel, he often used the hotel for his own interests.
Why not. Jenna was his fiancée and she was the owner of the hotel, so why not use it for his business?
David often brought guests or clients, both for business and just for entertainment, to the hotel. Complete luxurious facilities, delicious food and a comfortable atmosphere, of course, made all his guests or clients feel happy.
Jenna would also generously give him a big discount, or even, if possible, she would exempt him from any costs.
However, now he was asked to pay for all the uncollected expenses because Skylar was going to conduct an audit?
Of course David was also confused. He was sure that if he really had to pay for the accommodation, food, and entertainment costs of the guests and

The Carter Summer Hotel was the most expensive and luxurious five star hotel in the city. All the hotels, resorts, villas, apartments, and housing complexes under the name The Carter Mainland Enterprise were famous for being good, Juxurious, and expensive.
David pulled his own hair slowly, confused, who he wanted to curse. Jenna or Skylar or himself for being trapped in such a complicated situation.
Not to mention, Skylar had also threatened to conduct an inspection for The Carter Mainland Enterprise’s cooperation with his company. That was even more troublesome.
It had been several years since he received full control of his family’s company from his father who had often been ill and finally retired completely.
At first he felt confident. But the stock investment he had been pursuing for quick profits turned against him.
Significant losses began to appear. Red numbers haunted the financial report, and only a few of the board of directors knew. David covered it up i the most classic way, taking excess money from the company’s orders.
The biggest one was from The Carter Mainland Enterprise.
The business relationship between his company and The Carter Mainland Enterprise had been established for a long time and everything went smoothly.
However, David began to take a dark path after divorcing Skylar. His father was sick and left everything to him, but on the other hand, he felt the impact of the divorce with Skylar, namely, Aaron Carter began to reduce orders to his company and he even heard that there were several companies similar to his company that Aaron would become new partners.
David couldn’t let his company go to chaos just because Aaron didn’t like him. He had to survive.
He collaborated with several people in The Carter Mainland Enterprise, especially in the procurement and shipping departments.
They worked together to falsify the number of orders, inflate prices, and split the difference secretly.
Everything was done in small portions, almost invisible. But the practice had been going on for five years and David was sure that now everything would be seen if Skylar did a re–audit
Now David was worried. Skylar v i starting to show her fangs, as Jenna said and she was one of Skylar’s targets.
Whether she did it to get revenge for what David did to her in the past or just wanted to show the power that was now in her hands, both were equally unfavorable for David.
David needed control. Pressure. And this is where his plan developed further.
David looked at a file containing personal notes about Skylar. On it, a photo of the woman with two small children.
Photos that had just been obtained from the private investigator he had hired two days ago. He was satisfied because even though he paid a lot, the private investigator was quite skilled at hunting. He managed to dig up information about Skylar and a linte bit of her life while she was missing.
The faces of the two boys were very similar to each other and more than that, they were also very similar to Skylar.

David looked closer and he felt his heart sink. One of the ten boys had the exact same nose shape as him, high with a slightly monded tip.
“They’re my children,” David murmured sofily, almost like a prayer. “It can’t be,”
David touched his nose and grinned.
He rubbed his chin, thinking back to his chronology with Skylar, the two years of their marriage that ended so suddenly.
ho was posible that Skylar was pregnant when they divorced, but he was never toll. Or rather, he was never told because maybe Skylar didn’t realize it either before she decided to leave.
If the children were indeed his flesh and blood, then there was a new loophole that could be exploited
Inheritance.
In the end, everything Skylar now owned would be inherited by her children.
If David could prove that they were his children too, then he could claim a share of the wealth, through guardianship rights, or even inheritance nights as a father.
More than that, the children could be a weapon to pressure Skylar. To silence her. If necessary, he would make Skylar fall in love with him again, dominate her again, in order to get custody of the children

“Yes“” David answered quickly.
“I just got a direct report, sir. The target was seen at the airport. She picked up a man and two twins. They looked very close.”
David was silent for a moment. “A man!”
“Yes. The man, Bernard”
“And the children, with him?”
David clenched his fists. “Keep monitoring them. I want to know where they go and what they do,” he said coldly, then hung up without waiting for

He stared out the window of his office. Dusk was falling, the sky a deep orange.
Skylar must have deliberately hidden the children’s identities from him. Skylar did it on purpose because she didn’t want to share anything with him, not even his rights as the children’s biological father.
Then Jenna’s name crossed his mind. David was sure she could be convinced to play along again in this scheme. After all, they had worked together to get rid of Skylar before
Besides, Jenna’s parents were also ambitious to reclaim the inheritance that should have been theirs.
Gerry was sure that the inheritance should have been his, as Aaron Carter’s only son, not Skylar who was just a granddaughter, a woman, and she had even been missing for a long time.
David smiled a little. He picked up his phone again.
“Yes, boss” his hired detective replied.
“Focus on the twin first. Find out everything about them, if necessary what color they like and what kind of ice cream they favorite, David wild.
“Yes, bows, I will,”
“Watch out for that damn Bernard”
The hired detective chuckled. “I know, boss”
David ended the convenation. Slowly, Skylar Im going to make you hand those kids over to me.
