Woman?
Early the next morning, a woman’s scream echoed through the entire Newton family
estate.
Mr. Newton sprang out of bed. He had been waiting all night, and finally, his moment had come! Yesterday, he only aimed to get Griffin drunk, but he hadn’t expected Griffin to be so heavily intoxicated that it was only in the early morning that he finally began to “work.”

“I think I heard a woman screaming,” he said suddenly, and then froze, “Sister!”
He rushed toward Hope’s room but stopped at the door of the study next to it.
Inside the study, a tall, muscular bald man was holding onto a woman’s long, dark hair.
The woman was on the floor, crying in pain, her sobs and screams filtered through the desk and the man’s body.
Louis’s whole body froze, his fists clenched so tightly that they trembled. Sylvia had gone out with Noah last night, and his mother was behind him. The only person in that room had to be Hope!

His rage erupted uncontrollably. He kicked open the door and charged at Griffin, knocking him over and pummeling him.
“Who gave you permission to touch my sister?! Bastard! I’ll kill you!”
After taking a few punches, Griffin began to sober up.
He had been working out for years and with one powerful punch, he sent Louis flying. He scrambled to his feet, still dazed. The Newton family hadn’t contacted him in a week, and he had thought they had given up on collaborating with him.
He hadn’t expected them to suddenly invite him for dinner yesterday, claiming it was to meet Sylvia before discussing the fake engagement.

Griffin’s anger surged. He realized he had been set up.
“I see it now. You never planned to let Sylvia marry me! You just wanted to lure me here, get me drunk, and then send Hope to my bed!” he spat.

After listening to the entire exchange, Hope finally emerged from her room. The others were stunned to see her walking out unscathed.
