Time Ch 9

Chapter

My wish didn’t come true

As fragile as my body looked, it held on longer than I thought

Freddie wasn’t entirely heartless either. Just as I was about to pass out, he carried me to my room and called his private doctor

However, he didn’t stay. He left the moment the doctor arrived

While dressing my wounds, the doctor immediately noticed something was off with me. Ms. Hunter, have you had any full- body scans recently?”

I pressed a finger to my lips and shook my head

The doctor looked confused. He urged me to get checked right away and tell Freddie about this. He finally didn’t press further after I nodded and agreed vaguely

After he left, I fell into a deep sleep and had a dream. It was about the ten years I’d spent with Freddie

Back then, I was 10 years old, and he was 15. That was the year my mom married his dad, Steven Sanford

The camellias in the park were in full bloom

Steven led me over to Freddie and said, This is Rosy. She’s your sister now. Take good care of her.”

I called him Fredand reached out timidly to tug at his sleeve. However, he suddenly snapped, Get lost! I don’t have a sister!”

I burst into tears on the spot

Freddie let out a cold snort and stormed off

That night, he got a harsh scolding from Steven and was locked in his room

I snuck in with some ointment

His eyes were red as he shoved me away and growled, I don’t need your pity!”

My eyes welled up, too. Yet I held back my tears, worrying that he’d be punished again

He glared at me for a long time before he finally said softly, I’m sorry.”

After that, he still wasn’t nice to me, but at least he didn’t yell at me anymore

Later, his aunt took him abroad
